[Resolved]  HTC P3400 — Hand set goes to dead for negligence of Service Centre

Dear Sir,
I, Jyotirmoy Banerjee, have purchased a HTC hand set P3400 (IMEI No: [protected], S/N No: HT804FW02504, P/N No: 99HCZ022-00) from Capital Chowringhee Pvt. Ltd. on 22nd March 2008 amounting to Rs.10, 760/- only.
One and half month ago one of the pins of the SIM slot has been broken and I have to repair it from Nokia Service Center from Varanasi. (as I have no option to come to Kolkata or nearest service center). They service my phone and it worked again. On 12th January 2009 I came to kolkata and went to RT Outsourcing Services Ltd, 2 No. Ripon street, Kolkata 16. They received my hand set and assured me that the SIM slot will be replaced. (My set has no any other problem at all it was in very good working condition). After a day they called me for approval of estimation and the estimate was Rs.11, 700/- only (Which is ridiculous because recent value of the set is approx. Rs9, 600/-). I told them not to do any thing with my phone and I went there on 15th January 2009 to collect the set and I found my set was became completely dead whereas I gave it to them in fully working condition.
I want clarification for that and they told me some technical term which I can’t understand. (I simply know that, when I disapprove to do anything with my set then why my set become dead as it was in working condition) There clarification is noted down which I attached with this mail. I don’t clam for warranty as it was void and I told them I will pay for the SIM slot replacement. They never warn me that when they check the set it will be dead then certainly I refuse to give them my set.
Now, I refuse to take the set from the service center and I am looking for your kind perusal in this regard. I have a faith of HTC, and I know you will cooperate to your one of the customers.
