[Resolved]  Hush Puppies — Damaged the Shoes given for repair

I bought Hushpuppies shoes in Oct'2010. Within a month the soul came out from the tip of the shoe. I gave it for repair at R CIty Mall, Ghatkopar store. They took over a month to repair those and inturn ripped off the leather from the tip. I raised this with the Store saleman (Rajesh) and the district Manager (Aditya Tyagi) and i was assured that though its not in warranty period i would be given a refund for my shoes as its a fault on Hushpuppies end. I was asked to email to the customer service, which i did. Nobody got back to me for atleast 2 weeks. I again contacted Aditya and Rajesh and they asked me to send them my credit card statement as a proff of purchase. I did that and again nothing for 2 weeks. Now when i called Aditya to follow up on this, he told me all kind of stuff like he can't help me as its out of warranty period and that i should contact customer service. My point is why did they make me run to their store for 4 months when they always knew that their policies are so stringent! My friend faced the same issue with the brand. I've wasted 3500 at Hushpuppies and would not recommend it to anyone now. The shoes are pretty tempting because of their good designs and are also highly priced but the quality is not at all worth the money.
