[Resolved]  JustDial.com — Misinformed Sale and neglecting to resolve issue

Dear Sir/Madam,
This is to express a mis-information registration completed by one of YOUR Just Dial sales executives - Sangeeta Ghosh.

In the month of September/October, 2010, Sangeeta Ghosh called me and offered my company Obrandz Events, a paid membership with Just dial at a 3308rs, 998RsECS package.

She explained to me the terms stating that until the cheque drawn was not cleared my membership would not be valid and i had 7 working days after filling the form to inform/edit or cancel the contract from signing the application. She also gave me her then direct cell number - [protected]

The contract application was filled in by me in the first week of October, and a cheque for 3308rs was written to be drawn on the 18th of October, 2010.
However , before the 18th , I called her back and informed her that we were no longer interested in the paid package as it did not suit our needs, wanted to cancel and inquired about the process.
At this point of time she simply told me that as the contract was not initiated so, i need not worry, she would simply delete my registration. At no given time did she mention that I had to mail in a formal cancellation request.
When i inquired about the cheque, she said it would be shredded and i can cancel the same at my bank.

I put in this request with my bank - ICICI who put into effect this action.I called her back , advised her of my canceling the cheque and requested a return of the instrument. She said, don't worry, I have already shred it. It will not be presented as you have informed me of cancellation. However on the same day the cheque was presented, twice in the day for payment. This caused the cheque to not get canceled but get put on hold for payment.

Having assumed she was giving me the right information, i have since forgotten about the registration except that just dial has presented this cheque 8 times for payment without my permission since then despite Sangeeta tellig me it would be shreddedresulting in cheque bounce charges worth 750rs., ALL when it should simply have been shredded as sangeeta verbally promised me.

It now seems like in order to make a sale, the Just Dial sales team has lied and manipulated details of the exact manner in which the registration and cancellation process works.

Furthermore, when i inquired about the same with the justdial customer service they have no record of me being a paid member, i have received no alerts, leads for the membership which is fair BECAUSE I cancelled it within the 7 day time sangeeta told me to. Nor are they wiling to connect me to sangeeta who conveniently is always busy or not available.
An ECS of 998 has been deducted by you guys from my account for a membership i did not want to begin with.

Over the past few months, repeated customer service members and sales exec have called me up offering me paid packages for just dial to whom i have explained that i do not require it and have even canceled the original request for the membership. YET NO ONE HAS BOTHERED TO TELL ME THAT THE MEMBERSHIP IS STILL IN RECORDS AND CHEQUE IS BEING PRESENTED FOR PAYMENT until i spoke with customer service agent Henry day before yesterday.

I AM IN THE SALES BUSINESS TOO, BUT AN ACT LIKE THAT CAN LAND ME IN COURT. JUST DIAL IS A REPUTED ORGANISATION, I DO NOT EXPECT A FEW MEMBERS TO TARNISH ITS NAME BY MIS SELLING PACKAGES AND MISINFORMING CUSTOMERS WHO MAY NOT WANT YOU SERVICES.
IT IS THE CUSTOMERS CHOICE TO CANCEL AND WHEN THEY CALL UP THEY SHOULD BE GIVEN THE CORRECT INFORMATION.
NOT GIVING ME THE CORRECT PROCEDURE FOR CANCELLATION, PRESENTING MY CHEQUE WHEN I HAVE ASKED FOR A CANCELLATION AND DEBITING MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT INFORMING ME IS FRAUD, i ask you to correct the errors occurred against my account. I have being given no records of the contract copy to send in to you or read for cancellation processes.

I do not wish to ramble on,

I simply request that you with effect, consider this a cancellation.
Refund the charges caused to me due to sangeeta's misinformation system of selling packages and take a strict action against her methods of sale.
Charges caused because of her negigence towards my requirements -
750Rs Cheque bounce charges
998 ECS

I would be glad to provide you with the bank statements showing these debits were really made.

Just Dial — Mis informed sales of their paid packages

Have contacted them thrice and yet over two months post the complaint mail i wrote to [protected]@justdial.com, NO REVERT>
I have two more ecs return debot charges applied by them. So now im standing at Rs2500 scammed of by them

No refunds infact customer service agents at just dial dont even bother answering the query.They pretend my details don't exist so they dont know what to do.
Just Dial claims that it receives 2.5 lakh calls a day it might be true but the number of callers enquiring about the nature of the service registered by you cannot be predicted . It depends on the demand of a consumer. So the marketing professionals in Just Dial are trained in such a manner that they promise to get leads but leads are generally from the mobile or landline numbers who have already made an enquiry in the past about the kind of business you have registered just now with Just Dial.They(Just Dial) keep a track record of these mobile and landline numbers. When the taste and preference of a consumer changes in a fraction of a second how can a business rely on old leads.
The promises which the reseller or the employees make over the phone is highly unreliable because the agreement will be tailor made according to the monetary benefit of Just Dial. So they JUST attract you by words and cheat you by the agreement which as a client you don't read believing that the so called promises are mentioned in the agreement itself.
The new leads availability is highly contingent dependent on the enquiry of the nature of the product or service provided by you. If in a day if a person enquires about the location of branded shops which just dial would obviously have or if he or she enquires about the blood bank, fire engine nos. which are generally govt. services.The business category under which you are listed seems to have only one billionth of the total enquires made in a day.
Just dial provides classification of their registration as platinum, gold and many others under a business category but they have to provide leads to all the platinum gold and others so in the platinum category itself there will be many clients and then comes the gold how they will provide the leads to all of them its highly impossible. They can't provide the same leads to all the businesses (WHY WILL A PERSON BUY SAME 2 PRODUCTS FROM TWO DIFFERENT SHOPS WHEN HIS DEMAND IS FOR 1)
The company will behave as if its decent one and blame its employees and re selllers but in the contrary Just Dial itself directs its employees to do so or the pressure on employees and the threat of loosing their jobs make them create fortunes for Just Dial.
Just Dial is the only information media in this world who really help us to save our lives, our precious time even we get the services at our door steps with the help of their services.

And this is good for a consumer who enquire in JUST DIAL to get different different companies details for the same product on a single call. It helps us to bargain with the competitor and we can take the services as per our needs & benefits.
I agree to your point miss Pallavi S but when we ask a particular business's telephone no. we will get the number of the person top in the list of just dial rather than the best actually.

Your point is agreeable when we browse just dial's website because we have options but the availability of internet in case of an emergency is not as popular as that of a phone. Now over the phone we have to rely only on the information of the caller at the other end who does not provide much of choices.

And on the contrary if thats the case that just dial promises choices to its users then they are in a way betraying the clients in their platinum list
