Dear Sir,

My self is Jitendra Solanki, has various factory and business in Gujarat my personal Email is [protected]@gmail.com. As you should know I have bought already 2 Maruti cars for my staff few years back.
Recently I purchased a Maruti Alto car from Kataria Motors at Surat on 24th for total March 2011consideration of Rs.307000. Which Includes all the service, delivery and number for the car.

I was delivered the car by said M/s. Kataria Motors on 24th March 2011, with Temp Registration No.

GJ-5-TC-182. I was told by the Sales staff, upon my follow up with them for permanent Registration No that “ Since the New Series is being worked out by the RTO, this temporary registration number is good and I can drive the car on the road “ . I also mentioned that I had to drive the car out of the city limits, upon which they affirmed that the car can be driven out of the city or any part of INDIA. Actually it was the only reason I bought this car for my urgent business need in India.

Taking their suggestion I drove my car out of city limits, only to be intercepted by Traffic Inspector, who was at the verge of impounding my car, only he en-lighted me that the TC in the Registration Number is TRADE COMMISSION PLATE, only the distributor is authorize to have this number while he is moving the stock from one Place to other. As an owner I should be having Temporary Number as TR only for seven days. The TC is subjected to octroi taxes also, which meant that I was trying to evade the OCTROI Tax and wanted to trade this car in that city.

The said Traffic Inspector also spoke and scolded the Sales staff at Kataria Motors of misguiding the customers, The name of the Sales Staff is Mr. I don't remember but sounds Mr. Tagde and he is Muslim. Also when I called from Mumbai in front of police some girl picked up and when I asked her name she refused to give name, In this case she should not be on receiving the calls, Or they should not have ISO with them.

Upon reaching the office of M/s Kataria Motors with the grievance we were ill treated by the support staff, we were made to wait for two and half hours to meet the General Manager Mr. Tejas Patel, who even did not bother to turn up,as he was busy in some meeting in his own office. The sales person Mr. Tagde had gone to offer NAMAZ, and never came back till two and half hour of our wait in their office. We we subjected to one of the sales girl, who put in her efforts by calling the General Manager four times, but in vain.. NO ONE TURNED ON. The Girls Bhavna who was attending us already resigned the job and told me I am wrong person they put to me.


At last we were given a letter that we shall our self follow up with the RTO to get the registration number.

The guest whom we picked up from UK had to suffer a lot during the journey which has landed me in huge loses, He was kind enough to came to Kataria, but no was bothered,
I was going to get all the report of his journey to India and my business suffered from him self once he reaches UK.

Is this the way Maruti is sold.. please enlighten me. As I am contemplating to have legal recourse against you and your distributor for putting me into this situation.
