[Resolved]  Kelvinator — Repeated non performance of product

I Purchased a Kelvinator Refridgerator from one of the shops in Meerut, City Electronics on 24th December' 2008.

After a couple of months of the purchase it stopped cooling and contacted the dealer. A serviceman visited my place and told me that there was some gas leakage and the problem was resolved in a couple of days.

Again in July 2009 cooling stopped and I again contacted the dealer. A compalint was registered but no complaint number was given to me. However on 12/07/2009 the freezer was replaced.

In February 2010 again the machine stopped cooling and again i called for help. This time i clearly told the company engineer that I will not be paying for such repeated faults that have been occurring and i was assured that if such problem occurs again the product will be replaced.

Still again in November 2010 the fridge stopped cooling. I registered a complaint number- GHA[protected]. The engineer visited my place and told me that the compressor was out of order. They told me that Compressor was guaranteed it will be replaced free of cost. Although I regularly asked them to get the product replaced but i was assured no such problem will recur in future.

NOW again my fridge has stopped cooling since last 1 week. I have registered a compalint number- VAR[protected] (which i was later told has been wrongly registered) However the service Incharge Mr. Pravesh seemed supportive and assured of his best. The Service engineers visited my place on 1st of May-2011 and told me that the compressor was out of order. In such a hot weather i am staying without a fridge and repenting on my decision of purchasing such a product. The company people who were supportive initially have not been answering my calls since last two days.

I am standing in lurch and cant understand what to do. I feel cheated of my money and harassed because of such attitude.

I seek your guidance in appropriate redressal of my grievances.
