Konnagar Gas Service — UNFAIR CHARGES LEVIED FOR LPG CYLINDERS | |||
As per decision of the government, the cap on subsidised LPG Gas cylinders on 6 cylinders per household in a financial year is to be implemented w.e.f. 1st April, 2013, i.e. start of Financial Year 2013-14. But it is observed that Konnagar Gas Service has already started to implement this scheme since October, 2012, much before the date of implementation of the scheme by the government. Further, the behaviour of the gas agency and that of the delivery persons is also very rude. They behave very irratically with the consumers when they come to deliver the gas cylinders. They threat the consumers by saying that if they dont pay the required amount of Rs.900/-, they would not deliver the cylinders. They take the plea that the households have already exhausted the 6 cylinders and now they have to pay the higher price to obtain the cylinders. It is requested that necessary steps may kindly be taken to check this irregularity/fraud on the part of the Konnagar Gas Service, so that the consumers are not cheated any further. Needless to mention, If prompt steps are not taken immediately, the matter would be taken up in the appropriate forum. Konnagar Gas Service, Konnagar, Hooghly, West Bengal — Non Supply of LPG Cylinder.
I have made an application for new connection being sl.No-2231 dated 27/08/2009 with the above said Lpg Distributors. On 12/09/2009 I have deposited the amount as per their demand. But till date i did not get my connection. On enquiry they did not give me satisfactory answer.
