[Resolved]  Lakme — complaint regarding lakme kajal

I have purchase a lakme product "lakme EYECONIC KAJAL" on 03.03.2013 from Greater Noida. I am regular consumer of this product and also very concerned for it. I have a doubt on it's originality for which I have cross checked with your web site and found some mentioned discrepancy.

As per web site: It is thinner body and brand band strip color and product detail are in same color.

As per my product: It is thicker and brand band strip & other written detail are in different color but most important part is white written letter"LAKME" had been wipe off within this time.

My Grievances:

Your show-rooms are not available around me so I was force to buy it from a General Show Room. My request is that kindly clear my doubt or do the needful.

I had purchased one lakme lip liner which is having one way twist up facility. I purchased it from Esplanade market in kolkata on[protected]. After purchasing it when i removed the seal and tried to twist it, it was not coming up well. After several try it came up slidely and the liner content broke out. Then the twister got jammed and i could not twist it anymore. Then i took it to the shop and after several try they were able to manage the jam clear. They given me back the same thing which i was not ready to take anymore as i had not used it for a single time and i wanted to replace it with a new one. But they were not ready to give me fresh piece. Also they cannot assure that problem will not reoccur. Instead they were telling me to check if that is happening again and if happen then again needed to be reported to them. They also tell that cosmetic products cannot be replaced.

I am using Lakme from my teenage till now and very fond of it. Now I am 30 and still want to use this brand. But I am really dissatisfied with this response.

My grievance is : Why a disputed product is pushed to the customer for use when they are complaining. Why disputed products cannot be replaced by such a popular company.
I had also noticed and endorsed your complaint.

Also have noticed that there are a difference in dates on the package and the crib.

Hereinbelow is the email addressing the discrepancy in the product:

I had purchased 0.35 g of New Lakme Kajal package No. AB-01/13 for Rs. 199.00.

I would like to bring to your notice that the aforesaid package / tube of Kajal is defective and has hardened which may pose / cause eye problems to the users. The package states that it can be safely used for 30 months from the date of manufacture i.e. till [] Appreciate a reply at the earliest, failing which I may initiate legal proceedings in the consumer court. The aforesaid tube is with me as proof.

Appropriate action needs to be taken in this regard for marketing spurious product.
