[Resolved]  Landmarkonthenet.com — Delay in delivery

I Had ordered a Book on the website (landmarkonthenet.com) on the 5th of February Order Number : O[protected],

They initial said it would take 25 days to deliver as it it supposed to be imported, as a followup mail i mailed them on the 17th,

They replied back stating "We would like to inform you that the book “The Holy Qur'an: Text, Translation and Commentary” is an import book have a shipping lead time of 14-21 working days. We are importing from our US Warehouse and will be dispatched on or before the due date (1-Mar-11)."

well after that i mailed them if they can keep up their word, they replied back stating "We regret to inform you that due to some unforeseen circumstances from the US Warehouse end, your order O[protected] is getting delayed. It will be dispatched by next week. We request you to kindly bear with us. " that was on Feb 28,
after a week i replied asking the status.....they replied "We regret to inform you that due to some unforeseen circumstances from the
US Warehouse end, your order O[protected] is getting delayed.
It will be dispatched by next week. We request you to kindly bear with us".

on March 8 they say ...This is in regard with the Order No. O[protected] for the title “TE The Holy Qur'an: Text, Translation and Commentary ".

Please accept our sincere apology for the delayed in delivering the title mentioned above due to multiple factors.

Our logistics partner at the US had lost their License at US and certain consignments were held for some time in transit and after the consignments reached Chennai, there is a delay in the process due to a change in the software system of our customs department and the process of clearing has pretty slow since past more than 45 days.

Again after that on April 18th they send out an email...

We thank you personally for bearing inconvenience with us. We understand there has been a good delay in delivery this order which has been due to multiple factors.
Our Logistic Partner has lost license in US to export books to India.
Due to some custom issues we could not import from our US Warehouse.
We have been forced to look for an alternate vendor, now we have made a tie-up with UK based Warehouse.
Since there are many formalities to be completed, it will consume some time to get the books from there.
We have received the feedback from the UK based Warehouse as your order is procured and will be shipped.
Your order will be dispatched in another 25-30 days from our end.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused request you to kindly bear with us.

I WANT TO SUE THEM... THEY SHOULD BE TOUGHT A LESSON....

Companies like landmark have made new ways of doing business “online” by fraudulently pricing their products on the internet and then refunding the payment saying landmark has the rights to cancel the order in case of price variations as per their policy.

What are the customer rights is a vague question mark with internet business booming and companies like landmark getting away with wrong pricing of products and building brand name on the net.

I had placed an order LM[protected] on landmarkonthenet.com for a phone "Sony Xperia Ion" and was waiting for delivery when i got a call a day later from the customer care at landmark saying the price mentioned on the internet was a technical error by their end in the system and the price of the product is actually 2 times what i had paid. They wanted to know if i would be willing to pay the additional amount or would accept a refund. 2 days later they initiated a refund without my knowledge.

On writing to them continuously they came back with a gift coupon worth Rs.100/-

My question is what kind of systems do they have?

All Customers are at the mercy of the company and even if you feel the deal is worth buy, company can change the price as they like and bill customers a higher price.

We had placed an order for the product (The Design of the UNIX Operating System) on March 01 2013

with landmarkonthenet.com but the product is not yet shipped from their side.

Please tell us if you are not able to ship the product in committed date why you people make false

promises that the product will be shipped in few days.
i had order a mobile micromax x288.but they send me wrong product when i receive and open the parcel then i found it is mmx x227.i call the customer care after 2 hours they replied me.i return the parcel i spend 315 courier charge own pocket.after 7 day i get refund my mobile price but courier charge of 315 rs is not provided by landmark they send me gift voucher of same price.
