I purchased an LG/267BTB (Rs 1 Lac+) from Sales Emporium Garia, Kolkata, on 11.06.2009. It never worked at all.
The company replaced it on 07.08.2009. I worked for 7 months.
The company had no choice but to replace it on 27.05.10.
I was warned that after the 1st year they would not replace the product any more - like I was enjoying the experience!!
It worked for 22 months. The compressor (5 year warranty) packed up last month. LG replaced it last week.
Since then, my freezer does not cool and the ice maker makes no ice. The water dispenser doesn't dispense cold water either. These were all doing perfectly fine till the compressor debacle.
The Kolkata Branch Service Incharge (cell: [protected]) promised to get back to me - I'm still waiting. There has been no follow-up visit. They make you sign a piece of paper which states your satisfaction even though you've not seen the fridge work. That's just LG covering their backsides for third rate products which they con consumers into purchasing.
This is a product which is faulty, or it would not have required to be replaced 3 times in the first year!
Yet LG continues to sell it.
And stupid consumers like us fall for 'Life's Good'.
