It can't get worse. For a professional MNC such as LG (and I am now changing my view that they are professional at all) to respond in such pathetic manner.
1. I discussed my problem with some Mr Amit who is the area manager for Customer service. And the reply and his behavior was atrocious. He told me right away that there is no quality problem and may be some problem with the quality standards of the company itself. He told me that he would pass on my complaint to LG R&D to revise quality standards. But there is no help or even any sympathy he can offer to me.
2. Now that I have to get the gas charged again (which will cost me some Rs 1900), the engineer charges me Rs 250 for cartage and gives me a receipt. Only the back of the receipt, the standard rates for cartage are written as Rs 150. When asked, I am told that the printing is dated. I dont know if the printing is dated or the customers are being fooled.
3. To top it all, I alsio got another split AC installed yesterday from LG ( such a fool I am ) and engineer did not carry any temperature checking device to show me that the ac is working well, Instead he tells me your room is real big and cooling will be always less. He asked me that I should never operate on 18 deg C else the compressor will heat up and trip.
I am shocked and amazed as to how this company survives in the market, having no focus on consumer.
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT TO PURCHASE AN LG PRODUCT, BECAUSE NOT ONLY THE PRODUCT QUALITY SUCKS BUT THE SERVICE IS EVEN WORSE.

we have purchased 2 AC from LG and have taken AMC in 2011 and again renewed the AMC in the month of March 2012.
during renewal of AMC LG representative Mr Vipin Sharma assured us that our due service of 2011 AMC will be done in weeks time. we waited for 2 weeks but nobody turned up after taking next year AMC Cheque. The cheque was cleared from my account on 10.04.2012. We then lodged the complaint on their toll free number[protected] on 06.04.2012 with complaint numbers of 2 AC as i) RNA[protected] and ii) RNA[protected].
After lodging the complaint its our daily duty to call their toll free number and every time we are cheated with wrong commitments by LG. everytime there is a new person and we have to again and again explain our situation to them but till date nobody came for service. Each time we only get assurance and whenever we asked for the senior person number and name, we were provided with wrong information and everytime we get the numbers which are always switched off.
in our opinion this is fraud company and strict action should be taken against LG Electronics and also request you to help us in getting our money back for the AMC done with them for 2012.
hope some fruitful action would be taken against this fraud company and save the consumers from the harrasment by these kind of companies.

lg electronics AC — AC gas leakage in ~ 1 year operation
Poor performance of window ACI purchased a window AC in Jan 2010.The company people came and installed it and also the service was done twice by the company officials.
In the first place, the parameters such as temperature and compressor pressure were not checked and recorded by the installation team.
Secondly, when I complained about this, no one responded to this.
Now after just few months of operation, the AC has stopped doing any kind of cooling. The LG engineer says the gas has leaked and may be some part also got defected,
This is so crap. Absolute bull quality levels, if the joints from the cooling circuit have leaked in just 3-4 months of AC running.
I demand the company makes this correction free of cost for me as this is a clear case of quality lapse in production by having improper copper tubing material or quality of joints.
I need an explaination and expect a fast response and repair ofmy AC asap.
