[Resolved]  Madras Transport Corporation — Bus breakdown

I boarded a M21G(TN 22 N 8401) today( 04.12.2009) at around 1715hrs at the CLRI bus stop. The bus was destined for Nanganallur. I bought a ticket for Nanganallur (Rs. 8.00). Before the bus could reach Guindy, one of the tyres got punctured and the conductor informed that the bus would go only till Kathipera junction(between Guindy and Nanganallur). When I asked him to change my ticket to a Guindy ticket(Rs. 3.00), he in return, asked me to get down at Kathipera junction and then catch another bus to Nanganallur. When I told him that there aren't frequent buses to Nanganallur he refused to do anything about it and refused to refund even a part of my ticket fare. Even though it can be understood that the conductor may not have had a proper system in place for the refund of fare, it is the responsibility of the MTC, and as a consequent , of the conductor to provide alternate means for the passengers in this situation. So, I request you to take the actions necessary for the passengers of the MTC to benefit from a better system.

Dear Authorities,

I recently shifted from Mogappair to Annanagar. My office is located near DLF.

I find it very difficult to commute to my office from Annanagar. While there are lots of buses from East and West Mogappair, there is not a single bus from East Annanagar/West Annanagar to Porur. Sometimes I need to change as many as three buses-from Annanagar to CMBT / CMBT to Guindy / Guindy to Porur.
Would the authorities be considerate enough to introduce bus service to Porur via Guindy or Ramapuram ?
Could the possibilities of increasing the fleet of buses during the peak hours in the morning enroute Annanagar Main Road between 7.30 am to 8.30 am., be thought of ?

A favourable response to my request is solicited please.

Thanks and Regards
Poorna
