[Resolved]  Mahadiscom — Excess electricity bill

I, SHRI SHAILESHKUMAR VISHWAKARMA HAVE A FLAT AT VIRAR EAST. CONSUMER NO.[protected] AND BILLING UNIT IS 4706 : VIRAR EAST S/DN. ELECTRICITY HAD BEEN STARTED FROM NOV 2010. IN THE BEGINNING FOUR MONTHS BILL AMOUNT WAS OK BUT AFTER FOURTH MONTH THE AMOUNT INCREASED AND IT SAYS THAT I USE 50 UNIT IN A MONTH. AND THE ELECTRICITY BILL ALWAYS SHOW METER STATUS FAULTY. AS NO ONE LIVE IN THE FLAT HOW THE ONE CAN USE ELECTRICITY. I HAD SEND MANY MAILS TO MAHADISCOM ABOUT THIS BUT THEY HAD NOT TAKEN ANY ACTION YET. I HAD ALSO CONTACT THROUGH PHONE BUT I DIDN'T GET ANY RESPONSE. I HAD ALSO PAID ALL THE BILL BUT THE EXCESS AMOUNT OF BILLIS NOT STOPPING. I HAD ALSO ATTACHED COMPLETE DETAILS OF ELECTRICITY BILL

mahadiscom-electric meter — faulty meter

I have lodge complaints regarding replacement of faulty meter in Aug.2008 but still no done

I am a consumer of Pune, i have submitted an application of change of name to MSEDCL Wadia Division with all the required documents such as NOC, Affidavit of the previous holder of Meter, but the staff has not accepted the documents and still the meter is in the previous name, and at present the owner is no more,

In addition to that the MSEDCL has charged me 33, 000 for domestic, the officers says that I have distributed the electricity to the neighbours and one of the officer (now retd) said to me that I have distributed my connection to whole MG Road, is it possible, and they were unable to find it, then I have tested the METER from the MSEDCL authorities and they have given me the report as METER IS WORKING WITHIN THE ERROR LIMIT which I did not understand, it seems that every meter is faulty and they are giving the same answer to every consumer.

I dont know how the msedcl works, first of all no officers are present to address, they are busy with the contractors who pays them, and most of the officers are always in market purchasing the vegetables and fruits.

I have given many applications as to explain me in details how the bill is being raised, under RTI also I have given, but they always give me the CPL COpy saying that u only study it, but they have not bothered to explain me.

I have said in my letters that i use to receive the bill of 500 to 600 per month and which I have paid regularly without any default, but then too they have charged me Rs. 33, 000/- on the assurances that the same will be adjusted in the coming bills. The officers says that u have not paid the bill for long i[censored] calculate average 600 per month x 55 months = 33, 000/- it seems that I have not paid for a period of 55 months that means for 4.5 yrs I was using the electricity and till that time the MSEDCL officials were sleeping, is it possible, and if possible what the officers are doing if the electricity is theft as per their statement.

I have already submitted my RTI application again to Mr. Anchan Mane, now lets see what is his opinion.

This is to bring to your kind notice that for Consumer Number:[protected] BU: 4706 Meter No. 20350977 in the name of Mr.Sameer C Yadav . Receiving very high electricity bills for last 7 to 8 months in spite of very less usage. Bills are received in the range of Rs. 1500/- to 1900/-

Hence requesting you check & do the needful.
