Dear All,

This complaint regarding high ammount of electricity bill, We did'nt get any information from Electricity office about my electricity meter is off or running, We get 10000 rs ammount in my Feb 09 bill,
Bill is on my Father name Mr. Ramjanam Sharma,
So kindly requesting you that If any issue in electricity meter so resolve it and provide the correct ammount of bill and infirmation that meter is running properly or not,

We are middle class family, not using tremendous equioment, in our house, instead of not using we are getting rs 1500/1800 Bill Per Month, how we can pay if not use, We have complaint so many time, after listening so much time they have change our meter, but after meter changing also, we get higher bill of same old amount ie 1500/1800, our income source is very low, how we can pay so much high bill every month

So, Kindly see this matter and please solve this problem very urgently so that we can sit without Tension for Money to pay,

    I am Pune and I have lodged a complaint with MSEB exactly one year back for getting the meter checked. last month one of the representatives from MSEB visited our place and checked the meter. He told us us that the meter is faulty and needs to be replaced. Now I have been trying to get into touch with them. But they just make me go to different people and the outcome is nil. The person incharge of this (Mr. Jadhav) is never present in the office whenever I go s he is supposedly "ONSITE/CALL". I would like to know how do I proceed about the whole thing

    Electronic Electric meter — Replacement of faulty Electric meter

    From last 2 years the complaint has been given as the meter is faulty. the assessors have also investigated the same and the meter is still faulty only and the west bengal electricity board is billing the default bill for the meter. after repetitively submitting the application also the board is not taking any action.

      hello sir
      my consumer number is[protected].i just want to complain regarding the lazzyness and the irregularity of the mseb officals of lashkaribagh subdivision office of nagpur region(code 4680) here the officials dont care to provide the printed bills to the costomer and for giving complaint they just provide duplicate bills and promose that frm next time it wont happen and next time itis the same story the appartment in which i live many people havent got there bills from past three months and in my case i havent got my bills from past 6 months i was able to pay my bills as i have opted for the ebill system of the mseb but frm past 2 months on that also they arte postint the bills after the due date has passed you will be surprised to know that i got my dec bill in feb so you can imagine how lazy these bunch of officers are !!!
      it is a humble request to the concerned official to look into the matter and punish the guilty

        Since couple of months I have started using online payment facility whch I am finding very convenient, however since a week I am trying to make a payment of Jan.09, the site is opening but neither I am able to see my bill or make a payment online.
        Even the billing Unit 4696 is also not reflecting now a days in the system.
        Please look in to the same and fix up the issue at the earliest.

        Hi, I have been trying to view and pay MSEB bill online for the past one month.But I was never successfull .I could not even open the bill statement and it never went to a point where I can pay the bill.
        Can this be addressed please?
        Last month I paid the electricity bill using online billing facility.
        But this time I'm not able to select the billing unit from the drop down box, as the box is empty.

        Though the page is getting opened, why this is happening?
        I trier with Firefox as well as IE, on both the browser it is not working...
        I couldn't view latest electric bill. My BU is 4445 and have not payment option to the page. Please feedback how to pay the bill online.

          I'm using MSEDC's website from last one year for online bill payment. This site has an option to view & pay your current bill through various banks.

          This site is really useful for the working people who cant pay their electricity bills by visiting the MSEB office.

          But from last 3 months the page containing bill payment options on this site is not visible and is completely not working. the link for this is http://billing.mahadiscom.in/

          Please improve the performance of this page, so it can be loaded fast and we will be able to pay our bills on particular date. Do the needful asap.

          I eagerly waiting for this website to start functioning again.
          Same Problem here as said by Mr.Abhishek above.
          also have sent few emails to Mahadiscom.in but no reply.
          I am resident of Ganga residency, Hadapsar is writting this a mail inorder to lodge a cimplaint regarding daily power cutoff. There is a daily loadshedding of 2 hrs from 9.30 am to 10.30 am & 4.15 pm to 5.30 pm. Inspite of this there is contineously interrupted power supply for 1/2 hrs., 1 hrs., & sometimes 3 hrs also. we have been very much irritated since last 2 months. And inspite of all this there is no reduction in our light bill which is always more than our usage. I request you to kindly take keen measures to stop this problem. Please consider this request kindly.

            The fixed charges (Sthir aakaar) in each bill is Rs 30/-. However in my current bill it has been charged as Rs 330/- . All other residents in my building have been correctly charged as Rs 30/- only. Why has this mistake been committed only in my case? Will the bill be corrected before i make my payment? Why should I unnecessarily pay Rs 300/- extra for a mistake made by you? I have always been regular in payment of my electricity bills. Please solve my problem. I am a resident of Bldg 10/11, Vijay Annex, Ghodbunder Rd, Thane-W.

              The street lights are turned on very very early everyday.Now that Summer is here, we are blessed with natural sunlight a lot, and the street lights can be delayed to almost 7 pm.
              They stay On for a long time in the morning too, when we have daylight from almost 5 am.
              MSEB is installing high-mast lights on squares, and so the street lights in the vicinity should either be turned off or easier if the bulbs are taken off.
              Load shedding is continuous to save electricity, when such little and easy measures instead can add up to a lot of saving.
              Time period of the lights being On can be and should be extensively reduced.

              I m running company Akay Udyog... Kamptee road nagpur.. We have computerized machines of Rs 30 lac.. We work for Indian defince factory .. But we are facing some problem of power supply... We have done many complain but they tell this is not r fault .. U talk to someother guy.. Then that guy tell u this is not my problem .& so on ... My problem is in every 2hrs there is power cut off for 10 min .. i m facing this problem from last 5 months... & still there is no solution of this problem .. due to this today i m facing 30lac loss bcz my machine short due to up down waltage... so wht should i do ... plz suggest... i m in very big truble...

                I have been getting messages on my Airtel number [protected] from a GPRS/WAP based internet site called http://m.igfun.com from number 64611010.

                They are charging Rs 10/- per day from my account on pretext of providing me text based service on airtel WAP. I never subscribed to any of these services (atleast not intentionally for sure).

                I called airtel customer care, one of their executives told me that the service will be deactivated if you reply to the sms writing "unsub" and sending it to 64611010. The message to this number always fails and I am again being charged.

                I called the airtel again and then their executive (Mr. Bhupinder) tells me that airtel will deactivate these services within 24 hrs. He also gave me a reference number[protected]. The service is still not deactivated.

                I would request you to kindly intervene and get my issues addressed either by http://m.igfun.com or by Airtel.

                  Excess billing for locked premised

                  The Billing process of Mahadiscom needs attention to avoid inconvenience to its customers.

                  From my experience consumer has to run repeated & unnecessary for correction of estimated bills. The information is repeatedly given that premises for above connection are unoccupied & kept closed. Even then the billing is done on estimated basis.

                  The meters can also be checked or replaced for any doubt. Again...

                  I Pricilla Premdas residing in Moreshwar Park, Kharegaon Pakhadi wish to inform you that we have 7 and half hrs load shedding every day. Although we pay electricty bill every month.

                  On enquiring with the MSEB, we were been told that many people don't pay their bill, but why should we who pay on time the bills and tax suffer so much hour power cut.

                  We request you on behalf of our society that please take strict legal action against those culprits rather than making us all suffering.

                    To the relevant MSEB official,

                    Dear Sir,

                    I am Arrnica Dayannandan. I am staying at Le Meridian, Palm Beach Road, Sector 6, Nerul, Navi Mumbai.

                    1)
                    Right from the day that we have shifted to this place in Nerul, we have been experiencing regular and extreme swings in electric voltage. Several times the fuse has got blown due to high voltage spikes, thereby incurring extra expenses in terms of electrical repairs of the fuse as well as electrical equipments. Till date my laptop has got restarted countless number of times and its battery worth Rs. 6000/- has already got damaged as a direct repercussion of this, in addition to start up errors that it has begun to give. Same has been the case with my hair dryer, electric iron box, and the electric fuse itself that have undergone repairing a couple of times.

                    2) Since the time we have shifted, we have also observed an uncannily high amount being charged per month in the name of the ‘electricity bill’. Several residents in our colony are facing similar complaints. As middle class people, we absolutely cannot afford such high bills, especially when our electrical consumption doesn’t even amount to a fraction of what is being charged from us.
                    o There definitely seems to be some manipulation and/or error/ defect as far as the meter is concerned.
                    o The bill has come to a value of Rs. 900/-, from the initial range of Rs. 300/- to 400/-. This, considering the fact that our electric consumption has only declined in the last two months. All that we use in our house is only a laptop for 2 to 3 hrs a day, a tube light in one of the rooms every day for 8 hrs, 2 fans in any one room everyday for 12 to 14 hours, the refrigerator which is on at all times, and the mixer grinder, dryer or iron box that is used for a couple of minutes daily.

                    Details of electrical equipments:
                    o AC - We do not have one
                    o LG Fully Automated Washing Machine – We do not use it at all. We wash manually by ourselves.
                    o Sony Bravia Full HD 40” LCD Flat Colour Television – Used for 3 to 4 hours a day in power saving theatre mode.
                    o 5 Fans – Only any 2 fans used for a total of 12 to 14 hours a day.
                    o Godrej Pentacool 2-door Refrigerator – That can consume a maximum of just 573 electricity units in an entire year as per company specifications
                    o 6 power saving Halogen Lamps, 1 power saving Blue Ray Tube, and 3 Regular Tube lights – of which only 1 or 2 halogen lamps are used for a maximum o[censored]p to 8 hours per day.
                    o Hair dryer, Iron Box, Mobile Chargers, Mixer Grinder, Massager – all together – totalling to not more than 30 minutes a day, and not all of them used everyday.

                    I am Ritu Jhawar. We have been facing a similar problem. I too stay at Nerul. I was not at home for 15 days this month, as me and my family were in Rajasthan. I have returned with my daughter and my husband is currently on an onsite assignment abroad. As a result, me and my daughter have very little use of electrical equipments anyway. We use the TV for only 2 hrs daily, and just one tubelight and one fan at any given time for 6 to 10 hours per day. We have received an outrageous bill of Rs. 1100/- for just 15 months of low electric consumption this month. This is absolutely unacceptable and needs to be treated immediately. I am a neighbor of Arrnica. I stay on the flat below her on the 4th floor. Flat no. 414. This is a unanimous request to MSEB officials to correct and refund the erroneous electricity bills furnished for residents at the Meridian apartments, Palm Beach Road, Sector 6, Nerul, Navi Mumbai.

                      I am a resident of Vashi Gaon. Very often say every weak during night there is no power. One phase is always affected. Bharat Seva Ashram, Plot no. 249 and some other buildings are always facing this problem. When ever we call up MSEB Vashi for this problem they say it is cable problem and because of heavy load this frequent power problem is there, they say. That means they have detected the problem then why the MSEB is not finding the solution and rectify the problem. If the power is not there main problem is mosquotes. How can we sleep with small children at home with all these mosquotes . MSEB staff with out any mercy they say power will not come or staff problem is there we cannot send anybody at this time, so power will come only in the morning.

                      When we are making prompt payments why proper fecility is not provided.

                      Kindly look into the matter and solve the problem

                        I, am living at Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. I have made a written complaint for my higher meter consumption (aprox 4-5 times of my normal usage) in month of May-2008. After following personally so many times they have checked the meter and found faulty. Now I am waiting for my meter replacement since last 7 months have passed. I have contacted many persons but in vain. Bill amount is piling up and eavery month somebody from the MSEB comes to enquire for bill, when told about the problem and shown the complaint, they return back but no action is taken so far. I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH TIME IS SUFFICIENT FOR SUCH ISSUES BUT CERTAINLY NOT 7 MONTHS.

                          Nature of Complaint : Though my House was totally closed for two months (Jan. & Feb., 09), we were charged with more than Rs.500/month, which should be normal as per MSEB norms only. Therefore, I would like you to please either replace the Meter if it is faulty or charge us normal rate for the said period. Otherwise, usually the power bill remains constant ranging from Rs.100 to 150 every month.
                          Kindly look into & cooperate me amicably for settlement of normal bill & oblige.

                          My mseb meter has gone faulty. The reading shown in the month of april is beyond imagination by any domestic use ( units 3164, amt: 32058). The meter reading is fading day by day & its hardly readable by the naked eye, which itself proves that the meter has gone faulty. This meter was replaced one year back.

                            it is seen that mseb dept. is playing with the customers by sending excess billings. further when we inquire about the reading they are unable to give proper reply alongwith documentary proofs and also the contractors who have been given duties of taking readings of meter are hopeless and are doing as per their will.

                            I live near wadala road in jaideepnagar. The service is extremely poor. There is a loading shedding due to which the power supply is unavailable for 5 hours a day, but they are not done with that. Once the power is back, they again cut off the supply. I don't know what the hell they are paid for!!!

                            Now, we have nearly 8-10 hours of pwer supply off, I guess its better to live in village now than in city...poor!!

                              Is is very insulting to the Christian community in Vasai when electricity load-shedding was carried out even on Christmas day while all Diwali days were exempted from it.

                              This is a classic example of religious discrimination still prevailing in India where Christians are still discriminated.

                              Note:
                              It is because of this community education flourished in most parts of the country.

                              Christians education institutes have penetrated places where the government was unable to.

                              Most of the people prefer Christians school for their children. (Compare the site of different schools during admission)

                              Apart from this, Christian have a vital role in health care, Orphanages, supporting the poor and many more social activities through out the nation.

                              I appeal to the people of this nation to recognize this discrimination against this powerful minority community and be responsible.

                              It is a 1 BHK flat with limited usage as me and my roommate both are working. So we stay in office most of the time. But still I am getting an exess bill. But for the month of April 2011 it came as Rs 690. Which is way too much considering we have only limited usage of electricity.

                              request to you pls decrese our bills which is wrong generate bills by MSEB. i am going to MSEB office in shirur office but they are blaming me you are using a huge electric power but there are not able to help for the correction.

                              our building is facing regular power failure this is happenning when we have installed a new cable for our building. our cable was having multiple faults so there were regular power failure, we approached mseb regarding this and lodged several complaints.they told our cable is faulty,when we asked them to change the cable they told we r not having any stocks of cable since 3-5 years. so we we arranged for the cable on our expenses which was actually mseb's part. after all this there was some road repair work going on in which our cable was damaged. so we again started facing the same problem,again we complained for several times . than the mseb's people told us to divert our cables way to another booth(red box) of electricity,we did that also but still we r facing power problems on regular basis.these power problems r spoiling our electric goods
                              (t.v,refridgerator,computer,etc) and above all this is like a harrssement after paying our bills on time after complaining so many times also we r facing this problem.i hope something will be done after the authorities receive this mail.

                              The meter is in the name of my mother Mrs. Sujata M. Wankhede.

                              Bill Date : 11/10/2011, Bill period : 12 - 09 -11 to 10 -10 -11,
                              Bill Amount : INR 1383 Rs.

                              Last month also the bill amount was very high.

                              There is so much difference in this units. The other plat holders are getting less bills than us.. e.g they are getting the bills in the range of 300 to 600 /- Rs. then why do we only get such huge amount bills? Why should we pay that huge amount. In fact we all plat holders are using same electronic equipments... then why does the difference in bills?

                              Request you to kindly get this checked, why the units are more for this meter.

                              mseb does not follow proper system for replacing rusted poles officers try to avoid their responsibility and make common people to pay for their mistakes i gave complaint two years back to change the rusted pole at chinder malvan lele but they say to send fresh remind letter

                              Sir, I would like to inform you that there is one Mr. Manesh John, residing in Pune, he has 3 floor apartments and he stay on the ground floor. His business is he is supplying One magnetic unit which can be connected to the Electricity Meter. When this magnetic will connect to the meter, the meter will stop running. He is doing this at night to reduce the electric bills and using all the AC in their bedrooms and reducing the bills for whole the apartments. This unit mainly he is supplying to Hotels and so. He is taking huge electric at night and he his making big loss for the Electricity Board and the Government too.                               1. sir not every one in this state is a marathi...so unless u exempting the bill to non marathis, plse have ur bill in english as well..atleast give us an option to have an english bill..

                              2. your website talks abt billing unit...now this is in total chaos...cause firstly the localities have to be mentioned in some alphabetical sequence which is not. i am in colaba and have been searching for my billing unit which i could not find...so i guess not very user friendly...

                                Hi,

                                We stay in Sector 46 at Seawoods...Yesterday (21/11/2008) the electricity got cut-off at sharp 10:15 p.m & only came after 2 hrs i.e. 12:15 a.m. It was horrible, coz it was too hot & top of it we have to close the windows for protecting us from the mosquito bites, which is also a big problem here. My kid who he only 1 & half year old kept yelling & crying due to hot temperature & mosquito bite.

                                I want to ask a single question, is this a time to cut-off the lights? Who are going to bear the losses if we suffere from Malaria due to mosquito bite or theft due to theives taking undue advantage of cut-off at wrong times...It was more shameful from their (MSEB) side that in the morning as well they cut-off the light at around 7:00 a.m.

                                I want answer for their foolish deed.

                                  Hi Sir,

                                  I am recently shifted pune for my work place and got accomodation in Guruwar Peth area, where I observed that many people had modifided their light meters, I had asked the guys they said they give some money to MSEB workers and they do it themselves it includes wiremen, meter reader.

                                  I have called at least 4-5 times to lodge a complaint against those who are using light meters to the MSEB office by phone but of no use I personally met the people in MSEB office these guys told to the persons who had used the alteration light meters which results they throws me out of the room and beat me like anything i try to lodge complaint in Police office but of no use.

                                  My last hope is this web site if you give surprise check to Guruwar peth area then you will found many light meters are modified, Please please for god sake do something about it

                                    I joined MPEB November 1954, as a stenographer. At the time of joining i was entitled for pension . Ater bifurcation of States the benefits of pension has been discontinued for the employees who have been continued in the services of BSEB/ MSEB. Whereas the government employees of MP Govt employees who have been absorbed in Bombay /Maharastra State are being given pension whereas we have been denied . Injustice have been given to all the employees along with me who have been absorbed in Maharashtra State haven been denied pension. Justice may be given to us.

Is not getting . As my father in law expired we tried for pension for my mother in law . The people were not answering properly and satisfying please guide us.

                                      I have successfully paid the bill of Aug2008(Rs.2200/-) on[protected] thru online bill payments, however this month's i.e sep2008 bill shows the arrears of last month's bill. It's indeed a blunder. MSEB should treat their customer/consumer with care and consideration and never take customer for granted.

                                      Online bill Payment thru "billing.mahadiscom.in" doesn't generate a digitally signed receipt of payments. Thus it happens to be not so full proof website for paying the bills online.

                                      Anyways, atleast MSEB should make the corrections of my bills.

                                      I had written so many mails and reminders to MSEB (mumbai) about online payment...that it is not updated...as site does not show current monthly bill...how will we pay...its more than 2 months - still not updated...I am paying bill - standing in lone ques on counters...what to say...MSEB is shamelss govt. company...and most of them are DEEF and BLIND...they need serious consideration. People of mumbai are frustrated with the harassments of MSEB...no doubt - people burn mseb office all over mumbai and maharashtra...they deserve that !!
