Maruti 800 — Bad Service
Sub: Complaint on bad service of Maruti 800 at your Authorised service centre U M Cars, Indiranagr, Bangalore
Maruti 800 car bearing registration no KA19 N2625 was sent to service by me on[protected] and subsequently on[protected].
On[protected], when the car was given for service to replace the coolant hose & coolant, estimate went on changing every minute making me wonder whether they are really taking me for a ride.
Finally it was decided that he will repair it for Rs 2500=00, I never understood the concept, I paid Rs 2620=00 in the evening and collected the car.
Later I found that nothing has been done as the same problem persisted . Even though the service was done, coolant was changed, engine was getting heated up abnormally and intermittently stopping every now and then.
Again I gave it for service on 11-9-08, crosschecked with him whether he can deliver the car on 12-9-08, he agreed and later backtracked saying that the car cant be serviced on 12-9-08 and it will take a day more citing some festival causing great inconvenience.
On[protected], they gave me the car back proclaiming that it is serviced and gave me a bill of Rs 2300=00. Again I found that he has not done any service because engine got heated and it stopped aabruptly in the middle of a main road at a distance of 4 kms from the service centre.
I called one of their staffs Mr Shivaram who serviced the car and who agreed to send a mechanic immediatley.He never turned up causing unnecssary problem to public as well as myself.
So I request you to check up whether UM cars is authorised by you to provide service. If so, please refrain him from taking people for a ride by giving some exorbitant bills and mentioning remarks about future service and problems.
Why do we need his service if he is not able to fufill the aspirations of the middle class people who vie for a maruti as it is very economical and efficient.
