Billing Fraud At MORE

I went to a departmental store named MORE (formerly TRINETHRA) at Mylapore (cutchery road) to buy some items. I took two packets of milk, a bunch of coriander leaves and a packet of mushrooms. Then at the cash counter they gave me the bill for the three items.
I was shocked to see the price of the coriander leaf bunch as Rs. 20. Because it’s price was written as only Rs. 3 in the rack .
I immediately showed the bill to the guy at the counter and asked him why it was printed wrongly. Without saying anything he gave me the balance amount of Rs. 17.
But I scolded him as this was not the first time the wrong billing (I can say fraud billing) happened in a departmental store. The guy didn’t speak a word.
They have been doing such things for a long time. This time I wanted to be serious and I would like to make others aware of such fraud billing at many departmental stores. These things are still happening in SPENCER’S, BIG BAZAAR and RELIANCE FRESH also.
So whenever you go to a departmental store, have a tendency to check your Bills and MRP of the items. If you can’t do this for all the items when you have a long list, do check at least for the major items!
And don’t believe the store guys who blame the billing machines. Because even the billing machine can be manipulated purposely to make such billing.

So please do check the bill before leaving!

MORE — Incorrect measurement of weighing machine

I took vegetables from MORE Mall situated at BEL Road, Bangalore. The weighing machine was not accurate it was weighing more than the actual weight of the vegetables. I took the vegetables and paid the bill, after coming home I checked the weight but it was less as it was mentioned in the receipt. I took all the vegetables and again went there and I told him to weigh it again on some other machine, and to my surprise the weight was almost half as it was before.
So I request the consumer forum to take some immediate action against the mall as soon as possible, so that no other consumer are cheated again.

My name is Teena and I am settled in New York. My family has been a long time, consistent customer of your Pachalam, Kochi, Kerala' MORE' store since its inception. The store is a stones-throw distance from our house and we make purchase whether directly or by sending our workers, at least 3 to 4 times a day. Just wanted to relay some concerns regarding the functioning and efficiency of the store during my short vacation in Kerala this month.

Every time we go the store there is an issue whether its the massive delay at the purchase counter, incorrect change given after purchases and lack of courtesy. The workers seems to be ignorant of how to use the computer and billing system.

One time I had to take the calculator and show the employee at the counter that the change given back is incorrect. It would not be a problem if it happens once or twice but this seems to be a consistent problem not only with me but others as well.I have seen other customers get disgruntled by the inefficiency and lackadaisical attitude of your staff.

By the way, what is your exchange policy on items, to be specific Kitchen Towel that are unopened and brought back with the appropriate receipt the next day to be replaced by an item of more value Rs 300?

For a Rs. 100 item, the so-called manager said that he had to provide explanation to his Mumbai Office.

Is that true? Eventually the manager, Sindroo Joseph, ...relented after I questioned the way he treats a valuable customer. He went inside and made a phone call to get the OK!!! But I said that for Rs. 100, I am not going to bother. I bought a couple other items that I needed. I will go back to the store again until the customer service improves and hopefully it will get better before I go back to the US! Please consider this feedback with due diligence and take appropriate remunerative action so that the store can be part of our neighbourhood for a long time coming

i am the regular monthaly costumer o[censored]r store located near H.M.V college jalandhar.my customer number is [protected]. i am writing the compained against the scheme which was launched in feb 2009 that i[censored] shop for 5500 or more u will get the gift of rs 1000 i.e was kitchen set.the scheme last 28 feb 2009. me & my family shope some worth 5600or 5700.and was asked to submit the bills of sopping. actting upon i submitted the bills on date 07 march 2009. and was askd to come after a weak . accoring to the company rules ur bills will be inspected by the higher staff in chandigarh. after that i visted so many times but never get a satsifing answer.during the period my grandy died the last of april, so wouldn't be able to visit the store in may. lastly i visited the store on 8 june 2009. and again asked to come some another day to settle the matter . SO its very kind o[censored] i[censored] look in it.

3 gifs come but ur bill has not been come yet
4 we think u got ur gift but when i said i donot got yet then they took my telephone no and said
we will call u sir when we recived ur gift chandigarh..

MORE — Found glass piece in Feasters Butter Meltz biscuits manufactured by Bonn foods and marketed by More (Aditya Birla)

I found a sharp glass piece while eating the product Feasters Butter Meltz biscuits, bought at More departmental stores, Kodigehalli, Bangalore. The glass piece could have injured me fatally or I could have even died. I am thinking of taking the matter to the consumer court.

MORE — Mud in Sprouts

Hi , I bought sprout pack from MORE , on 2 February ,.
I took it in breakfast next morning and found out mud in it.
Previously , also it happened but i thought it was exception.
I felt it serious as sprouts are eatables .

Please take care next time you buy sprouts from MORE
