On April 15th 2009, at around 6.35 pm, I took one auto-rickshaw (MH-12, 6920) from Opposite Medipoint Hospital, Aundh till Belevedere Apts, Opp. Ozone Supermarket, ITI Road Aundh. This is my daily routine only change being that I take the Auto from a rickshaw stand opposite Kumar-Padmalaya on the same Aundh road. I pay 20 rupees for this transit everyday. However, on the mentioned date of April 15th, this rickshaw driver took me till Ozone and dropped me exactly opposite Ozone. I asked him to drop me inside the apartment, but he did not agree and started arguing. I know that the same rate of 20 rupees is applicable all the way till Sarja Hotel and it should not have been a problem to go the extra 50 meters to drop me inside the apartment premises. I however agreed that he may not take me all the way inside, but asked him to drive the extra 10 meters and stop in front of the main gate. He still argued and did not agree to this as well. I had a small child with me, my laptop bag and 2 more bags with my child's baggage and vegetables. He used abusive language and even said that if I had financial problems about paying him. The driver needs to be reprimanded for his disgusting attitude, his arguement about driving exactly 10 meters from where he stopped, not complying to Meter-Rate and using bad language. This is not the first time this has happened, but was definitely the last straw. It is extremely important that they understand that such behaviour cannot always be tolerated, and we work really hard to earn money and therefore it hurts to pay for bad service.
