On maturity of NSC can I withdraw maturity amount from any post office of india ?
Hi, we have lost our NSC certificates in 2002 in a churchgate- bandra train at Bandra. We had filed an FIR, and subsequently made an application for duplicate certificates. With frequent followups, and no response, my in-laws grew tired of it and gave up for some time. My husband could not follow up due to his office timings. Its two years after maturity and I have been follwoing up with the Goregaon post office since December. But they do not give any clear course of action. Kindly advise. Can I approach the main office in nagpur or what is the other way out. The Post master keeps telling me to give fresh applications and says that the Fir is too old to be worked upon. Wating for your early reply.
