National Saving Certificate Complaints & Reviews

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a refund that has not been processed by your office. On [insert date], I [briefly explain the transaction – e.g., deposited money for a money order/cancelled a postal service/requested a refund], and was assured that the amount of [insert amount] would be returned to me.

Despite multiple visits and follow-ups, I have yet to receive the refund....

That, I purchased 6 numbers of IX issue NSC (10yrs) Certificates valued Rs 10, 000 each from Kalimpong PO on 3.4.2012 with the promise of maturity amount Rs.23, 887 after 10 years. But the office mstakenly issued Certificates of VIII issue to me .On that time I complain the matter to than Postmaster but She assured me that there will be no problem in future and handed over that Certificates to me forecefully. My NSC Certificate Nos. 6NS/ 06EF 601195 to 601200 issue dated 3.4.2012.

2. Now, after 10 years of deposit i.e. 4.4.2022 when I encased those NSC I got Rs 18, 284 only of each Certificate and was credited to my account POSB a/c No. [protected] which is less than 6% interest .

3. Due to this act of Postmaster of Kalimpong Post office I am loosing about Rs 5, 603 per NSC Certificate with total amounting Rs.33618 of my hard earned money .

For this I already lodge complain to postal Department and waiting for justice

While working at Chennai, I have bought five NSG bearing numbers 22461, 22462, 22463, 22464 and[protected], 17574, [protected] and 17577 dated 27/03/2015) Printed numbers on NSG are 49EF 086485, 49EF 086486, 49EF 086487, 49EF 086488 and 49EF 086489,
Now after my retirement I have settled at Vatakara On 15/11/2021 I approached Vatakara head post office for encashing the subject NSG, but the post master at the counter refused to encash the NSG and advised me to send it to Chennai.
I request your good self to interfere in this matter and help me to encash the NSG at Vatakara itself.

I am lakshmipalem. Himavanth proprietor of sree savithri enterprises my apgst no vja[protected]/2001. Actuvally we have taken bonds on 2000 they bonda has produce to cto. From when they bonds meeru duty is cleared from there we request more times to cto. But they have lost. Many times aame to post office also. They haven't support. So please support to me.

I have 4 nsc (58dd 788468/69/70/71) of rs. 5000 denomination from galleria post office, dlf city phase iv, gurugram -122009, haryana on 23.03.2010 which i cannot withdraw at other office even after maturity on 23.03.2016 due to its non migration into cbs. I need its account id and cif. I tried to call post office many times but not reachable and even customer care number is not helpful. Please address the issue urgently....

I had bought 4 national savings certificates 10000/- each (Total rs 40, 000/-) from s. E. Railway project post office. The date of maturity was 21.01.2018. On 22.01.2018 i went for encashment, but the post master told that i have to open an account in the post office. But, as i am already having savings bank account in statebank, i denied. After this, he told me to wait for 4 days for cheque.
I requested him let me deposit my nscs, and give me acknowledgement, but he did not. It seems he is forcing me to open account.

My nsc"s amounting rs.49000/- issued by vasco da gama-goa post office on 20.03.2010 were matured on 20.03.2016.
The maturity amount of rs, 78449/- given to me by a cheque no.384914 drawn on sbi margao-goa branch on 31.03.2016
By vasco da gama -goa post office which i deposited on 31.03.2031 in my bank account with bank of india, vascodagama branch.
But to my surprise the cheque was returned on 02.04.2016 by sbi with a reason insufficient funds.
Cheque returned charges of rs.101.90 debited to my sb account.

My mother Anita Ghosh has 4 NSC s from Dharmatala Post Office, kolkata due for maturity on 22nd January 2016. She is 75 years old. The post office is not providing the maturity proceeds unless we open a post office savings bank account which will take alteast 2 months time as the post office is now implementing CBS system & things are held up. I want to receive a cheque payment for the maturity proceeds, however even after visiting twice the post office manager is not providing us the maturity proceeds through cheque inspite of explaining them that it is not possible for my old mother to go to the post office so many times for opening the post office bank account and then doing the maturity formalities. Further to above we are no more residing in that place & we have shifted to a location which is far from that place.Kindly allow me to have the maturity proceeds in cheque/ cash. Whenever I had to redeem my NSC Certificates, upon maturity, and visited Mumbai GPO, Vile Parle East Airport Post Office, I was told on most occasions that the system is down causing me to return without me getting my cheque. I had to than re visit the office to get the NSC's surrendered. This would cause me great inconvenience and also delay in getting my cheques. Whilst in the post offices I noticed that other customers too were frustrated with the same problem. Since this is a constant problem I request the Indian Postal Department to kindly permanently fix the problem with their software/computer server, so that we are not discouraged to invest in Indian Postal schemes

I PURCHASED NSC FROM POST OFFICE AT BHU HOSPITAL VARANASI ON 28/03/2009 FOR A AAMOUNT OF RS. 50000. NOW AS THEY HAVE MATURED WITH A VALUE OF RS. 80000. BUT THE REAL HARASSMENT I AM FACING RIGHT NOW IS REGARDING THEIR TRANSFER FROM VARANASI TO CHANDIGARH. I APPLIED FOR THEIR TRANSFER ON 15/04/2015 IN SECTOR 36 POST OFFICE CHANDIGARH. BUT TILL DATE THE POSTAL AUTHORITIES HAVE NOT GIVEN ME EXACT DATE AND REPLY FORTHEIR TRANSFER, DESPITE MY REPEATED VISITS TO POST OFFICE. i have purchased different value NSC from rail ganj kanpur post office. but at the time of maturity i am in surat, so i have given an application with supporting of address proof, bank pass book & NSC zerox on 24 sept 2012, but till date nothing has done. i again given a reminder today at navyug college post office, rander road surat branch. the post master said he only can forward the application to kanpur concerned post office &...

I have purchased five nubmers National Saving Certificate from Rampurhat Post office on 22.07.2006. The same already matured on 22.07.12. Accordingly I have applied in Thakurpukur Post office on 01.08.12 for encashment of the above Certificates. But I regreat to inform you that till date I have not received the same.
In this connection I would request you to resolve the matter so that I can get my money.

I have applied for a NATIONAL SAVING CERTIFICATE from our local post office and i have issued a cheque against it
cheque no:053765 dated: 7.11.2011 the amount is Rs 25000 . The cheque has been cleared but but unfortunately i still not received it. The post master gave me a receipt against it. Every weekend i call the post office and they told me its not came at all please call next week. My money has been deducted from my bank so i am very worried.

My bank statement showing on dated 16/12/2011 the amount has been debited against " SPM JASSORE ROAD PO KOLKATA ". Please look after this matter.

I've purchased National Saving Certiifcates from Laxminagar post offcie on 5/2/07 certificate number 79EE 508259 worth 10,000/- Rs and certificate number 57DD 760533 worth 5000/- Rs. I want to encash the certificate as I was in need of money. I went to Laxminagar Post Office on 21 March 2011 at 10:30 AM to withdraw money before maturity, the person who was handling NS certificates there was abusive he told me I cannot encash it before maturity, I asked him to give me in written, he started abusing me and said are you a lawyer do what you can do, apart from this a lady who was another staff in post office started saying you cannot encash it. This is really unacceptable how these people behave. Please I need written and verbal apology from the Laxminagar post office staff for this and want my money back from NS certificate.

I purchansed National Saving Certificates from New Delhi Govindpuri Postoffice. Now the term is over and but I am in Pune. On the advise of Post Office in Pune I submitted an application to transfer NSC to Pune so that I can get my money which is already due.
It is already 8 months since I have sent my application but my case has not been transfered as yet. I do not get any response but a statement," we have not yet received your papers from Delhi". This is highly frustrating the way Post Office handle transfer of such financial instruments. I am looking for an advise for the solution. Will going to Delhi help ?

I will never advise my relatives /friends to buy such papaers.

My relative Sh. Rajendra Prasad Singh, retired Addition District Judge had purchased three NSCs of Rs. 5000/ each with nomination of his wife Smt. Gayatri Singh. The said NSCs was to be matured in July 2008, but mean while Sh. Rajendra Prasad Singh had expired in Nov. 2007. Smt. Gayatri Singh has submitted the claim of NSCs along with the required documents and death certificate of Sh. Rajendra Prasad Singh on dated 14.05.2009 at Kachehry Post Office, Allahabad. The concerned person (Mr. Sri Ram) has informed that the verification will be done within a week and after that the payment will be made. But when contacted after a week, it was found that nothing has been done and the complete paper is lying with Mr. Sri Ram. When we requested for an early action Sri Ram has asked for Rs. 200/- for verification. I refused for the same. Then he said the action will be taken in due course and it will take time.
I request you to kindly register my complaint and take action for early redemption of NSCs.

i would like to know from post why we are not gatting name of nomiee in national saving certificate in detail

if ageny can make trouble then who customer can now.

I have purchased the NSC of amount Rs19000/- from railway colony post office, rourkela on 25/02/2002.but due to my room shifting i lost the orginal NSC.I informed the same in the issuing post office and give the application for issue of duplicate Saving Certificates in lue of the loss, on 03/03/2008.according to post master of the same post office, i furnished the required documents and the verification also done by your department just 3 months back.but i cannot get any information regarding NSC, whenever i asked to the post master.sir it has been alredy passed 1 year from the maturity period.hope you will do necessary for issue ofthe same.

NSC Bearing no. 4JEE942557, 4JEE942558, 4JEE942559, 4JEE942560, 4JEE942561 each of face value Rs.10, 000/- i.e Rs.50, 000/- total was purchased from Head Post Office Arrah, Bhojpur, Bihar on 05th December 2002 and deposited on 27 October 2008 for payment at Shipra Sun City Post office, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, U.P-201010.
Maturity date is 05.12.2008 but till date I have not recieved the amount.On enquiry from Shipra Sun City they suggested to write an application to Arrah Head Post office through them.Though Shipra Sun City has recieved the application, i need the forum's help to expedite the procedure of payment.
