Nokia C6 — Phone hangs and loses network repeatedly

I bought a Nokia C6 phone on 26th April 2011. The reception quality is very bad in the phone and it hangs atleast 10times in a day. I took it back to the retailer and he refused to replace it as he claims its a common problem in all Nokia C6 phones and replacing it wont solve the issue. Please suggest me as to what can be done.

My Nokia C6-00 phone restarts automatically, atleast twice a day. Also, I had three Nokia phones earlier (Nokia6100, Nokia N73, Nokia 6303), none of them had network issues with Airtel, however there's a network problem with Nokia C6-00. One of my colleague at my office is also facing the same problem. He even kept his phone at Nokia service center for 7 days. However they gave the same phone back saying they did not observe any problem. While trying to open applications like gallery, web the phone hangs and then restarts. I too had a bad experience at Nokia service center once when I took my wife's phone (Nokia 6220 classic) and they kept it for 7days and gave it back without repairing it.

Please suggest as what needs to be done. I knoe that the phone has a manufacturing default as reflected through various complaints online. Please let me know whether I can have this phone replaced by any other phone. I'm even ready to pay the extra cost whatever applicable to get rid of this phone because it gets too irritating when there's no network when I try to call up someone or when it hangs up when I'm playing a game on the phone. My details are as follows:

I got a call from Nokia and they guided me to a Nokia care store at Mulund (Arya communications). The representative at Nokia store asked me to talk to the store supervisor. Now, the supervisor claims that he knows that Nokia has a problem with their phones and it hangs repeatedly, hence he can't do anything about it. He can reinstall the software and even then if it does not work, then he'll send the phone to New Delhi and keep it under observation. I told him that my friend has already done it with his Nokia C6-00 and it won't solve the purpose. He replied back saying that he knows that the issue would not be resolved, but there's nothing much he can do about it. He asked me to call the Nokia customer service number or contact the Nokia priority shop. I told him that I've bought the phone from a Nokia dealer and not the priority shop. His next statement was simply shocking. He asked me to the sell the phone back to the dealer and get a new phone.

At last I asked him to at least get the phone software reinstalled for which he took the request. I've been using Nokia phones for the last 8 years and am surprised to see such a pathetic service from them.

The attitude of the Nokia care representative shows that my problem will not be resolved. Hence, please let me know a way by which I can resolve the issue.

i brought this phone just 4 days ago. this phone is very irritating. hangs so much even though i did not add additional data. i collected my hard earned money to buy a good phone. and my hard earned 13000/- have been swallowed by nokia.
i pray this company suffer huge losses.

I bought the same model Nokia C6 from singapore. I thought to use of blackberry but while seeing the model Nokia C6, I impressed the design and bought it. But all went into vain now, I have suffered a lot by using this phone. My main purpose of selecting C6 was internet usage, but now it becomes a normal hand set.

If nokia calls back the C6 model mobile then all customers will be appreciated. They must understand the customers feeling by not getting the best one for their usage.
Please regard this draft as a complain letter to NOKIA due to its POOR
service and DEFECTED product.

I had purchased NOKIA 6303i classic on September 2010 which started
heating problem and it was a dead mobile at the month of April 2011. I
submitted my mobile to Nokia Priority Partner (ADDON Retail Pvt. Ltd.)
Mulund, Mumbai. After 4 days it was informed to me that my mobile has
been sent to Delhi for servicing and it will take another 8 to 10 days,
so after two weeks I got my mobile back which after using two days it
had the same heating problem so I had to return it back again to Nokia
Priority Partner (ADDON Retail Pvt. Ltd.) Mulund, Mumbai. It was
returned to me after a week and now its working, but the battery
performance is not so good. So it was a bad experience from your
service.

Meanwhile I purchased Nokia C6 on May 7 from the same store Nokia
Priority Partner (ADDON Retail Pvt. Ltd.). Within two weeks it had
touch screen problem which used to get hanged. I submitted Nokia C6 to
the same store and they took one and a half week to do the servicing.
When they returned my mobile back, I checked my mobile in the store
itself and it had the same touch screen problem. It was really very
frustrating. Again I returned it back to store which took another five
days. I also complained to Nokia Bangalore call centre. And after five
days I got my mobile back and I checked the touch screen which was
working fine but I found the alignment of the sliding panel was bit
dislocated. Next day I wanted to click some snap so I pressed the side
camera button which didn’t respond, this was the end of my patience.

Now I had submitted my Nokia C6 to the same store, after two days I was
informed that my mobile will be sent to Delhi for servicing. So this
time I am not going to tolerate anymore and I will not take that mobile
(IMEI No[protected]--) back even if it is in working condition. I
need a REPLACEMENT or MONEY BACK. I hope this complain letter will be
considered and right action will be taken.
