[Resolved]  Nokia — DEFAULT HANDSET

Dear Sir / Madam,

Myself, Ravinder Chadha is living in kolkata. I was gifted a new E61i not even a year back.

I have a problem with Nokia Care, as your company have not been able to rectify the fault in the Nokia Handset and they havent returned the Heandset to me for almost 3 months now.

The following is the date wise details how and what has happened till now:

02-07-08 I had submitted my Nokia handset to the Nokia care center in S.P.Mukherjee Road, Kolkata.

I was told in 20days the phone will be given back to you.

23-07-08 I got my handset from the same Nokia care center, saying the problem is solved, when i said i want to check the phone is rectified or not, they did not give me the phone unless i sign the jobsheet that i have been checked the handset is working. I signed and took the phone back.

Later to realise that the problem is not solved and the phone was again switched off. The problem was that my phone was showing that it is charging, but it wasnt charging at all.

26-07-08 I returnedto the same Nokia care center to report that the handset was not rectified and they took the phone from me saying it has to go to the headoffice again for fixing the problem.

10-08-08 I called the Nokia care center asking about the phone status, they told me that the phone is expected to come on the 23-08-08 and the problem was not solved so you are getting a new handset.

23-08-08 Another handset was given to me, which was not a new one, it was a 2nd hand phone, when asked about this issue, they informed me that this is the phone they have received for me. I took the phone as i was really in need of a handset, as i had borrowed a handset from my friend. I checked the new handset, there was no netowrk on the phone, when informed to the customer service rep in the nokia care center about it, they said it may take a few hours to get the network and was asked to go home and check.

25-08-08 I went back to them that the phone is not working and the network problem persisted, and they rechecked by putting my sim card on another handset, just to see that the network was available or not. It was available. They took my handset again, and again gave me 10-15 days time to rectify the problem.

After this, i started giving a call to Nokia care headoffice in Bangalore (An STD CALL) as i had requested the kolkata office to give me their headoffice number. It was not a TOLL FREE NUMBER THEY GAVE.

I have given atleast 10-15calls till now. But no one knows what is happening.

I was told that their computer is showing that the phone will be at the kolkata office on the 12-09-08.

I went on the 13-09-08 to the nokia care center in Kolkata to receive my phone, but the phone was not available, again from there i called nokia care Headoffice in Bangalore, they said the phone should be in kolkata yesterday and after speaking tot he customer service rep (kolkata). The Bangalore rep informed me that they will let you know by end of next working day i would get a call from Bangalore to inform me when the phone will be available.

Didnot get any calls from them till 2days. After that i called up Bangalore and i was told to wait till the 25-09-08. In between i did get calls from the Team managers from bangalore all telling that the phone will be ready by the 25-09-08.

When asked i want to speak to someone who can answer why it took almost 3months to a phone handset which is not even a year old handset and under warranty. No one had answers and they started to avoid my calls, and till date they have not given me any contact person who could give an answer and compensate me of my loss of business for last 3months and the STD Calls made where no call was less than 20mins.

Please tell me that if you could help me with this problem and can i lodge a complaint against NOKIA as nokia terms to be an Internation Brand and i would like others to know how NOKIA have treated a customer who have been using nokia all his life, starting from Nokia 5110.

Nokia India — Handset Faulty

Dear Sir,
I am facing a similar problem with regards to my handset.I purchased it in July this year its not even a year and the handset is already giving me major problems.The phone stopped working within 2months of purchase when i went to the service centre(Kanpur) i was told that the phone will have to be submitted and sent to Noida as there is no repairing services available in Kanpur.I submitted the phone immediately and recieved after almost a month.
I would still have remained satisfied though the absence of the phone for such a long time caused me considerable harships but within 10 days the phone has again started giving problems.
I would request the concerned people to kindly replace my handset because I have already got it repaired and it has not helped my phone is still within the warrenty period and I am not ready to shell out money for defective handsets.

I sincerely hope this time my request and complaint wil be heeded to and some proper action will be taken to solve my problem.

I purchased a NOKIA 3110 Classic mobile on[protected]. On[protected] the
mobile did not respond, so I contacted with the local Nokia service center Kolkata, Girish Park center. They told me that the mobile have some technical problem. So i deposited my mobile to them, they gave me a receipt of mobile deposit slip and assured me that they repair my mobile within 15 to 20 days.

I am requesting you to give me a brand new mobile because the repaired mobile
might give some problem in future and i don’t want to take back this repaired mobile.

Please do the needful at the earliest possibility.

I totally agree with all your comments. I had purchased an expensive Nokia handset in January and to all surprises, the mobile had worked well only for a month or so. After that, I repeatedly visited customer care(at Ultadanga, Kolkata) and every time they took 1 month working time and returned the handset and again the problem kept on appearing in the same very day. After 4 months effort, I have lost all hope for it and is using my old handset only.
I AM FACING PROBLEM NOKIA 3600 SLIDE FOR BATTERY BACKUP PROBLEM AND REPAIR 4 TIME AND NOT SLOVED MY PROBLEM PLZ CHANGE MY HAND SET SLOVED MY PROBLEM

I Amith Patil from Bangalore & had a problem with my Nokia 6500s which is under warranty.. the problem was display & had been to Nokia Care more then 4 times & the case also escalated to higher level & my handset was sent to Delhi Head office.. but still it was not repaired.. And more over the care people charged me 1800Rs/... Kindly Replace the hand set & refund the money which was charged..

Sub :- Forgery against repairing of Nokia Mobile, Model No. 1661, EMI No. [protected]

Kindly informed you that I purchased the subject mobile from M/s J.P. Electronics, Ekta Bazar, Gonda on 01.01.2010 its purchase receipt No. 2368, which is under warranty for one year.
My mobile has been giving some problem i.e. it’s “Red Key” is not working, audio poor, incoming audio quality poor and key pad does not function some time.
I have provided the subject item to NOKIA CARE CENTRE i.e. M/s B.K. & Co., Newal Kishore Road, Lucknow on 01.09.10, the open the mobile in front me and checked it they said that you will come here tomorrow to collect your mobile. When I reached to receive my mobile, they said that your mobile is being not repair because of your mobile washed by water. After than I said them you may provide me a report regarding this, viz I talked to Nokia Care Centre. After than they said me that you deposited Rs. 55/- for this. I deposited the amount but they provided a estimate letter to me, whenever I apposed then they said you taken back your amount and returned the receipt of Rs. 55/- which was arbitrary snatch by them and my mobile returned as same. However, I remarked on job–sit[protected]/100901/50, dtd. 01.09.10) that you forged me. However the credibility of Nokia Co. for Costumer is what?

Nokia — india sim card is not working

dear sir. myself vikram patil. i am a sailor last month i was in uk i bought nokia handset e63 now i am back in india but indian sim card is not working in my cell it gives me error sim card is not valid.so please help me...

has been lost from our residence while charging the phone.due to theft by our maid servant.FIR/DD entry
has been lodged with police station and GD NO-1338/12 DATED 14.01.2012. AND THE PHONE IMEI NO
