[Resolved]  Nokia E71 — IRRESPONSIBLE, ARROGANT AND THREATENING BEHAVIOUR BY NOKIA PRIORITY AT SANGATH MALL1 GANDHINAGAR HIGHWAY, AHMEDABAD

I Purchased NOKIA E-71 on 4th Oct 2009 from Nokia Priority, All India Communications, Sangath Mall 1 Sabarmati - Gandhinager Highway, Ahmedabad. Before purchasing the Hand set, the seller was very persuasive and was promising a lot of things. He told me that he would arrange all settings and would help in trubleshooting always in future. His behavior was very good that day. As per scheme, he activated the licence of GPS for three months. After a week, I got GPRS message from BSNL. I approached the seller and requested him for desired settings for the operation of GPRS. He told that the BSNL had not correctly sent the message so it was not possible to run GPRS. I told this problem to my friend and he within two minutes made the settings and GPRS was working ! I checked and GPS also started working and could indicate my position etc. Meanwhile I went to Mumbai and GPS did not work neithe navigation nor position was working I stayed at Mumbai and it did not work. After returning from mumbai I told this problem to Nokia priority manager, he checked the phone and told that GPRS was not working. I told him that if he didi not know how to do the settings, he should tell. I ran GPRS and showed him google site. Then he told that because BSNL has not given settings correctly so GPS was not working. I ran GPS and showed him that GPS was showing my position correctly. By this time he had became totally arrogant and was shouting like any thing. My question was that if it was working in Ahmedabad why it was not working in Mumbai. But he was telling many different stories. Then I asked him to check that when my licence would expire, he checked it through inserting his SIM card in my mobile and told that it would expire on 7th Nov. I told him that licence should be valid for three months from 4th Oct and how it can lapse on 7th Nov. He started looking furious and asked me to not to come to his shop again! I am a customer and havre paid for a product and now if he is not fulfilling promises and there are total inconsistency in his statement, how he can be allowed to behave like this. If he does not know doing settings, he can say that but how he can be allowed to fool customers and because he is rich how he can be alloowed to behave indecently. Nokia has to think. Being a responsible citizen I feel such action should be discontinued. Nokia has to take appropriate action against such persons.

This country is full of frauds!!! As they start trapped in guilty they perform such acts to avoid present threat.Almost we all consumer have to face such situation sometimes but no one can fight everyday.
They get will to commit such things as a few people fight for their consumer rights.
moreover laws here in India are not strict enough to stop such act.
Always remember tier the seal of your product on your own.It should be tight and smooth.And check for the name of importer it should be Indian.For nokia it is Nokia india pvt ltd.
