Nokia — replace Handset as promised | |||
Dear Madam/Sir, I wanted to lodge a compliant against Nokia Care, Secunderabad for giving me false promise that they will replace my phone in a weeks time, but later when I went there they gave me my phone back saying that it has been repaired. I would like to know how do I give a compliant in consumer court? Hoping that justice will be done in my case. Here is the description of the whole incident….. I bought a Nokia N 97 mini form Univercell showroom,Mehadipatam on 16th April 2010 for 20,500/- and the phone started giving up problem very next day and after a lot of arguments they gave me another Handset on 18th April at Univercell showroom. The mobile started giving problems after a months time, but I did not have time to go and fight with them again, so days passed and finally I got fed up with the handset and gave it to Nokia Care(Mehadipatnam) on 6th August and they repaired the set and gave it back on 11th August. I started using the handset it started giving troubles within a weeks time and as I was busy with my office schedules could only give it to Nokia Care(Ameerpet) on 15th Sept and they informed me that they have to send the handset to Nokia manufacturer and will take 10 days and I waited for 10 days and took the mobile back . After coming from the manufacturer I could see some physical changes in the handset and was in an impression that they have changed the board and now everything is ok, but things again came to square 1 and it started giving me problem from 10 days of delivery. Fed up with these things I went personally to Nokia care(Secunderabad) on and finally i met the manager and told her everything what had happened till date and she promised me that considering all the facts she will replace the handset and asked me to give the mobile to Mr.Vishnu(Nokia Care, Secunderabad) and asked me to collect the new handset in a weeks time. With that assurance I felt very happy and was an impression that at last my problem has solved and I could get rid of the harrasment . Now to my surprise they are asking me to take the handset back stating that it is repaired. I wanted to know that how many times should I go around the Nokia service centre’s and is there any end to it? Who will be held responsible for loss of my time and the mental agony occurred due to my Handset and will they give assurance that it will not give any compliant till a year. Will Nokia bear the loss which was caused due the handset . This is to inform you that I am a Production manager for television programs and my whole works goes on contacting people through mobile only, so you might know that how much do I need a mobile to co-ordinate with actors/director/cameraman/Art Director/Music Director/Crew etc. I coordinate with 100 different people(on mobile) to make the shooting happen without any hassles and you can imagine the agony faced by me due to the mobile.
