hi, Recently in december, 2009 I had bought a Nokia N79 from the mobile store in patan, from the next day itself, it started giving problems. this handset started giving problems from feb, 2010 itself so I was giving this handset for service at Nokia care, during the submission of my handset at nokia care I clearly specify the problem of my handset. In my handset problem is only software side but the technician who work at nokia care open the whole instrument and slove problem but problem is again repeated after some days so again I am getting service from Nokia care but they can't able to solve the problem of my handset also not replace the handset under woranty period, the details of my handset and Nokia care where I was getting service is given below. I had purchased Nokia N79 mobile set from M/s Anmol Watches & Electronics (P) Ltd, Chandigarh on 22.6.09. Thereafter, it developed fault in graphic display as was pointed out to me by Nokia Care Centre at Patiala. As per them, set was required to be sent at Noida Service Centre for correction of display and it will take about a month. On receipt of set after a month, all necessary softwares for day to day functioning like Wavesecure, Oxford dictionary, anti-virus and updation etc were removed. Both the Nokia Care centres were contacted but they expressed their helplessness. Kindly help me out.nokia/n79 — SERVICE
I purchased my N79 in the month of Aug'09. Now since last some days i observed that its FM player & music player is not working. I submitted the phone for repair on 19/12/09 to "NOKIA CARE, DWARKA, NEW DELHI" They told me that the cell shall be repaired by the evening. Since 19th till this very moment, I'm calling them reguraly. They have only one answer everytime that Sir your phone is open & we are already working on it. We shall get back to you by the evening for sure. And that evening never comes.I have never expected this kind of service from NOKIA. And believe me from now onwards neither i myself will purchase any Cellphone from NOKIA, nor i'll advise any of my friends & relatives.
It has been mental humiliation.
nokia/n79 — Negligence
Dear Sir,I have Nokia N79 handset. The handset was getting hanged again and again, I visited the Nokia service centre on 28th Dec 2009 and my Job sheet number was 72. There they said my hanset's keypad was not working so I submitted my handset and they took my handset. Till then my handset was under warranty. They returned my handset after 10 days, when i received my handset I was still facing the same problem, I told them but they said its okay every set keys gets stuck and they kept arguing. I wrote in the receipt that I was not satisfied and keys still seem to get stuck, they took the receipt and handed me the handset. 20 days later I started facing the same problem but till now my warranty has ended, when i visited service center this time they are saying keypad needs to be replaced and they will charge around Rs 1120 for it. They could have changed it easily when it was under warranty but they didnt. I want my handset to get new keypad free of cost as I was facing the same problem as I did in warranty period that too in very short span of time.
My Handset was under warranty till 23-Jan-2010.

The N79 is a very buggy phone from the firmware to the hardware. I myself being an N79 customer can tell this. Listen my phone developed a blank screen problem. I took it to Nokia Care, they told me my warranty is void as there is liquid in my device. I was shocked as there has been no water spill to my phone. I took my phone back.
I sent a notice to Nokia head office about my issue requesting for replacement or i will sue them and will approach media. And after 4 days they replied and told they will replace my phone. The next day i was given a brand new sealed N79 from Nokia care. You can do the same.

Same here.. they are refusing to do the service at NCC
This is reference to the Message seen vide the Net .I am auser of Mobikle Nokia N-79 Mobile Phone. Frankly speaking I never ever would have gone into the ditch of Nonsense application.However I just want to know if will be able to get a new Nokia series of Mobile Phone afterr this Mobile is thrown off. The excisting one is really a white elephant for me.
