[Resolved]  Nokia - N82 — Cheating customer : Nokia care, Sick service

I had purchased a nokia N82 from one of the major dealer in Chennai. I couldnt not use this mobile in India, because my project doesnt allow camera mobiles. I was using this on timely basis during travel etc. I travelled to US between september to November. My mobile developed a strange problem, that when some one calls me, or when I call some one I wasn't able to hear the voice. Either I need to use loudspeaker or headphones for this.

So after coming back i went to Nokia care Bangalore (Samvaradhi technologies, Koramangla, Bangalore). When they took my mobile for service, it had only audio problem the one i was facing. After an hour the guy came and told me that display is already broken.

i was shocked, I tried reaching Nokia care online to explain this. Nothing had helped me here. Only thing i need to shell out Rs.1769 for this. Can any one suggest how can the action be taken here.

Nokia N82 — Got Sick of NOKIA

I am Vishnu Chaitanya. I bought a NOKIA N82 BLACK model mobile phone on 1ST JUNE 2008 in RPG Cellucom India Pvt ltd, Brigade Road. WITH IN 2 WEEKS of buying the mobile phone, it started getting RESTARTING AUTOMATICALLY WHEN THE BATTERY IS NOT FULL. So I went to the NOKIA CARE which is mentioned in the opposite party on 16TH JUNE 2008 and asked the CENTRE MANAGER MRS. VARSHA for REPLACEMENT of the mobile as it was not even 2 weeks old. But they told that it is repairable and they wont replace the phone and took it for repair on the same day and asked me to come after 15 days and gave the job sheet. When I called them at their mentioned time, they told that the phone is repaired and asked me to collect it. I took the phone and checked it there itself for some time, but STILL I WAS GETTING THE SAME problem so they again took the mobile for repair and asked me to come after ANOTHER 15 DAYS. Again after 15 days for the SECOND TIME I went there and got my phone and they closed the first Job Sheet. But again from the next day I was getting the same problem. So I went there for THIRD TIME on 18TH JULY 2008 and argued with them to give the replacement for my mobile. They told that this time for sure they will repair or else they will give me replacement. They checked my phone there itself, FORMATTED MY MEMORY CARD AND REINSTALLED THE PHONE’S SOFTWARE, so they took for repair and asked for 10 days time. After 10 days I got my phone back. But again from the very next day I was getting the same problem. So I again went there for FOURTH TIME on 30TH JULY 2008 and asked for replacement as they promised me last time. The Manager told that they did not say like that last time and again took it for repair again assuring that if get the same problem after this repair and asked for 7 days time. The next time also the problem was not rectified. This time (FIFTH TIME) I went there on 8TH AUGUST 2008 and argued with them strongly for replacement. Finally they accepted to give me a new phone as replacement and asked for 10 days time. After 15 days I called them to know the phone has come or not. They told that it will come in 2 days. I asked if that is a new phone or not. They told that the same phone was repaired and sent back. I talked to the manager, she looked into the matter and asked me 2 days time to get back to me. In the meantime I called NOKIA CARELINE number [protected] and registered a complaint on the Nokia Care. But even from them I did not get any proper response. After two days when I called them they told they need 10 to 15 more days to get the replacement. So the next day 28th August 2008, I went there to ask them regarding the same. Finally they asked 4 days time and told that I WILL NOT GET A NEW BOX PIECE, BUT SOME PHONE WITH THE PANELS AS MY SAME OLD PHONE. After all this what has happened I lost my trust in NOKIA and wanted to get back the money I paid in buying the phone. Still my phone is with the same Nokia Care people. Till now the phone is with them only. The nokia care people did not even called me once regarding that. What kind of service nokia is giving for its customers. This is SHAME on part of NOKIA to treat customers like this. They should stop their products in INDIA for all the complaints they are getting on their products.
