Now I am settled at Chennai .and there fore filed a request with Alwarthirunagar Post Office, Chennai - 600087. on 06thJanuary 2009 to get the funds of these NSCs transferred from Emaneswarm to AT Nagar office and you may kindly make the payment through your good office on the due date which is 11.02.2009. The request letter is appended below for your ready reference. 06thJanuary 2009 P.S.Madhusoodhanan Flat D, 341, Park Street, Ramakrishna Nagar, Alwarthirunagar, Chennai 600087. The Post Master Alwarthirunagar Post office Alwarthirunagar Chennai - 600087 Dear Sir, Sub: - NSC – Matured payment requested Ref: - NSC Nos.44CC 715932 to 44CC 715934 – 3 certificates for Rs.5087.70 (1695.90 x 3) The above-referred NSCs are getting matured on 11.02.2009. These certificates I have purchased from EMANESWARAM – 623701. Now I am settled at Chennai and there fore request your good self to get the funds of these NSCs transferred from Emaneswarm to your office and you may kindly make the payment through your good office on the due date which is 11.02.2009. I am enclosing Xerox copies of the certificates for your reference and action Please. P.S.Madhusoodhanan Now even after the lapse of almost 45 days from the date of request and 8 days after due for payment Am unable to get my hard earned money deposited with Govt of India. Of course on checking with the Post Master, A.T.Nagar, She was kind enough to inform me that she has not got any confirmation from Emaneswarm Post office and will send a reminder. The net result as of today is not materialised. Am sure you will agree with me that NSCs are Promisory Note issued by the President of India and there fore it should be paid on due date on presentation at any Post office irrespective of the city where it is purchased. I have a kind suggestion that upon payment the Paid office can inform the Office where it is Purchased for their records. Anyway the Post Office is making the payment basis surrender of Original Certificates duely signed by the Investor. An early action in this regard may please be initiated. Thanking You, Yours faithfully P.S.Madhusoodhanan [protected] / [protected] ps.[protected]@gmail.com [protected]@yahoo.com Was this information helpful? | |
