[Resolved]  Overnite Express — Missing item in parcel from Overnite express courier with AWB No. [protected]

On 9th August 2011 I have received one parcel from Imphal, Manipur with AWB No. [protected]. In this parcel one shirt was missing.

I have told this to delivery man (Name: Raju) and also informed to overnite office through phone on the same day.

The risk charges of Rs. 50/- was also paid while booking the parcel in Imphal. So that I can eligible to claim the insurance if parcle/items lost.

I have written email to Overnite Bangalore about it then Mr. Sripad (senior manager from Overnite) call me on 10th August and asked me to come to Overnite Madivala office to show him the parcel envelope from which shirt is taken out/ missing. I went there on same day and after looking to it he ensured me that he will enquire on this matter within 2 days and give the compensation if he is not able to find the missing shirt, I was very happy to listen his word and thought overnite express have great customer care service (The shirt was a gift from my sister for Raksha Bandhan, so I was very upset to miss it).

But he has not kept his promise and no one contacted me even after 2 days. Then I called him again he told me that he require some more time and will update me on 16th August. I have said ok for this because I thought he is doing some investigation.

But till 19th August no one contacted me, so I called him again and he simply told me it will take more time as still the investigation is going on.

I have again written mail to them but no one is responding and Mr. Sripad is simply giving excuses and false promises, they have taken my complaint very lightly and I think they don't care about customer complaints.

Before I was upset for missing my sister gift but this type of attitude from Overnite express made me angry.

When they had no intention to solve this issue then why they called me to Madivala office unnecessary, why Mr. Sripad made false promises to me, that day I have left early from my office to go there, collected the parcel envelope from my home and reach Overnite office which is around 10 km from my home.

They have wasted my time and also playing with my emotions.

When I have informed all these to my sister, she told me that she had made the mistake of choosing overnite express when many other good courier services are available in the market.

Before going to use overnite express please think twice because if any incidence similar like this happens (missing parcel/items/documents) then their customer care service (or solving customer complaint) is very bad and you can have the problem.

Their charges are also high so it is better to use DTDC or Blue Dart which are best in this line.
