[Resolved]  Passport — NAME CORRECTION

i received my passport from Regional Passport office, Guwahati, my passport no h9357087 dt on 12/05/2011 file no GUWA00192211, passport office mistake my spouse name they write NIRUPAMA but correct name is NIRUPAM, when i submit my application at that time clearly i write the real name (NIRUPAM), . passport office mistake my spouse name. so i am requesting kindly give me advice what can i do, how to correct the spelling.

There are no answers to the query mentioned here

I am going thro the same .I have applied for Passport, after 3 months I got it finally that too with name misspelled

And, I gave a Complaint to passport office, they said they will make the necessary correction and give the passport to me in 15 days

To my surprise, this guys returned my passport without any correction. I am real frustrated with the way this officials handle our cases .

As on PAN Card Name is SHAILENDRA SHUKLA while on PASSPORT Name is : SHILENDRA SHUKLA
actualy as on my High school & intermidiate certificate is SHAILENDRA SHUKLA and on my PAN CARD, D/L & Voter Id name is SHAILENDRA SHUKLA and now I wish to change my name on PASSPORT as SHAILENDRA SHUKLA.

So please guide me what should I do to change the name on PASAPORT.

passport — Issue of new Passport for name correction

I have applied for passport and recieved with my sirname mis-spelled as "Naresh Sripuram" instead of "Naresh Siripuram"

I have again re-applied on[protected] but status has not changed till now.
I gave complaint at secundrabad passport office in March. They said that passport will be issued within one month but till now there was no change in my status.

My name is vasu. In my passport the name of my village is mistakenly print as " DURRAPALLI" instead of "KURRAPALLI". Please suggest me what can i do for it . Is their any problem with this. But in my address printed correctly.

Dear Sir,
My wife's name spelling has been wrongly printed on her passport. In the application form she mentioned name as LATA NAUTIYAL, which has been wrongly mentioned as LATA NATUTIYAL. We never noticed the wrong spelling as no one objected during our Australia visit. The mistake was brought out to our notice at Heathrow airport during our return journey from London. Please let me know the the procedure to get it corrected. Also please guide the amount of the fees to be deposited. We need to undertake our foreign travel in the near future, hence we have the urgency to get it corrected on priority. may please help urgently.

passport — Passport Name and date of birth spellings wrong delivered

Hi Sir

I got my passport in 2006 with my surname spelt incorrectly in the application submitted itself.
It is spelt as KHAMBHAMPATI instead of KHAMBHAMPATI which is as per all teh academic documents.
Now if this has to be corrected, can I directly submit in the correction counter at Secunderabas Passport office as per the below process?
If the mistakes were made in the original application form, can I apply for the correction in category 'R' by submitting form no. 1 (The Application form which is used for getting new passport, now for a re-issue of passport ) and would it require a fee of Rs.1000/ . I heard this requires no online applcaition,

Or would it need a paper ad and affidavit?

My name is Mandava Venkateswara Rao.2 Months back i got the passport and my mother's last name was printed as Nandava instead of Mandava.
Please advise me how to change the mother's name.

In my passport surname is blank and in given name Ramesh Rangaraj, I am applying US Visa, in D-160 form without surname not able to submit.

There is any option to make a correction in passport (in Observation Pages), if possible how many day it will take.
