Passport Delay — Very Long Delay in passport | |
Respected Sir, My name is Maria Rehman, applied for my passport on 4th June 2008 at Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi. My passport required change of address form Shimla to Delhi for which a police varification was needed. Despite the varified police report, all essential documents and fees, my passport hav been pending for more than 6 months now. Please help me ..I am really frustrated. I have applied for the passport on Jan 2nd 2010 for the passport and got the file number as hydw25002100. the police verification has been done by feb 22nd and the file has been provided to passport office. I got the note in the web that "your passport would be delivered by mar 18th"(I dont know why they needed 20+ days just print it and send it). on march 18th when I saw web, it says "due to unavoidable circumstances, your passport is getting delayed and would be dispatched in week's time". three weeks down the line from then, on apr 8th, again I found the same message in the web saying "Due to unavoidable circumstances, your passport got delayed and would be despatched in week's time". Its been more than 100 days now from when I have applied passport. I have written a mail to local passport authority, they dont even seem to bothered to reply on that including local police station staff.
