I am facing the same problem for getting slot for appointment. It is regularly showing that slots are already booked. Is there any way of submitting the printout of online application to the Regional Passport Office.

I HAVE ALSO APPLIED ONLINE FOR REISSUE OF MY PASSPORT BUT SINCE LAST 20 DAYS I COULD NOT MANAGE AN APPOINTMENT, ALL THE SLOTS ARE BOOKED WITHIN 10 SECONDS OF OPENING, TCS SHOULD ARRANGE FOR RESERVED SLOTS FOR ACTUAL CUSTOMERS OTHER THAN BROKERS AND MIDDLEMEN WHO FALSELY BOOK SLOTS TO GAIN EXTRA MONEY, BROKERS CHARGE ABOUT RS 1500 FOR FIXING AN APPOINTMENT AND ITS A SURE SHOT APPOINTMENT, I FAIL TO UNDERSTAND WHY AND HOW THEY GET APPOINTMENTS WHWEREAS ACTUAL CUSTOMERS ARE LEFT IN THE LURCH

ONE BETTER WAY IS THAT AT THE TIME OF GENERATING ARN WHY DOES NOT TCS PEOPLE GIVES MULTIPLE CHOICES OF AVAILABLE DATES SO THAT THE CUSTOMERS CAN BOOK AS PER THEIR CHOICE.

It's not just TCS. Apparently Infosys did the back-end (database) portion. And now if you complain about one, they will point to the other, and ordinary citizens will suffer. The entire project has been badly executed, with poorly written code that has not been tested for huge number of simultaneous requests. What else can you expect in a country where the authorities take unilateral decisions like this online PSK? I don't understand how they envisaged that this system would work, and above all, how could they think that majority of the citizens will have 24x7 access to ICT...

Extremely bad website in terms of managing to get an appointment slot booked. TCS have done an awefull job in building this website whereby one can NO WAY get an appointment through unless they have a 3G net connection, or pay the agents. I had called up Passport seva customer care and they confirmed that for Kolkata PSK, tatkal passport doesnot require an appointment, but while my brother personally visited there to check in the enquiry, they said that they will not entertain without appointment. Infact, the document supplied in the website also says that appointment is not required for Tatkal Passport. Therefore, again a loop hole within the passport officials to gain commission maybe!!

I tried to book passport appoinment for applying fresh passport and i am not able to succeed. It says exceed the maximum numbe of limit and i discussed one of the broker near to passport office coimbatore and he says all the appoinment blocked by borkers as well as the internal employees only. So normal people can't book the appoinment in website. Indirectly they are asking money from bublic in order to book appoinment.

I believe the givernment website works only for brokers and employees not for bublic.

Since 23/09/2012, I am also trying to get an online appointment date but failed to get this. This is really ridiculous.
Passport officials of ministry of external affairs should see this problem and sort out the same. The previous manual method could be a better option or waiting list system like railway reservation, to be implemented.

first i was really happy that everything gone online and we the common people will be able to avoid long ques, Babu culture and monopoly of agents but alas!!! it seems this online system was purposely designed and developed to benefit not the people of India but to make them feel more frustrated, helpless and worthless. I believe it is purely designed to force people to opt for other means as there is no way you can get an appointment. I have been trying to get an appointment for 10 days, being online one hour in advance and hitting the button exactly at 3:00 pm... never worked out for me. once i managed to go to next page when it asks to enter the code. even if enter correct code it says invalid.

KOLKATA KPS is really has to go a long way.

As We can understand from the thread above we have nowhere to go for help. TCS is supposed to hire best brains in the country!

I had applied for my son's passport(fresh) a few days ago through the passport seva portal (www.passportindia.gov.in/), ARN - 12-[protected]. However, it has been so far impossible get an appointment through online way. Typically, it display appointments for the day is over and they ask you to login after 3PM next day. Thereafter whenever you get connected without any problem they inform you that all the appointments are done for the day, so please try after 3 PM next day.

I with my wife applied online for passport in October 2012 through the passport seva portal (www.passportindia.gov.in/)and since then trying to get an online appointment but failed. Further, it may also be stated that it has been so far impossible to get an appointment through online way. Typically, they ask you to login at 3.00 PM onward. From 2:55 PM to 3:05 PM it is impossible to get the server connected and whenever I get connected without any problem they inform me that all the appointments are done for the day, so please try next day after 3.00 PM onward. I approched to PSK Guwahati for an appointment but it was informed that the appointment is only given online, no manual apointment are given. Therefore, it is found that there is no possibility in applying for a passport in a old fashioned way by standing in the queue. The PSK will not entertain if I can not get an online appointment. It is sorry to say that the online system of appointment is a complete failure and getting an appointment for passport is impposible like finding a pin in a dense jungle within a specified period of few minutes.
It is our humble requests to the concerned Authorities to make easy the online system or give online appointment date as per online registration date of the application submitted or allow us back a facility to apply in person by filling up a form manually.
In view of above, I am inviting the attention of the higher Authority to look into the matter so that we may get an appointment date at PSK Guwahati at an early date as we are unable to get an appointment for passport since October 2012 . My Email ID is :[protected]@yahoo.com

Hi Passport (PSK) slot booking is an art of perfect timing and speed. There is no certain trick or tips for booking an appointment at all. None can give you 100% assurance of appointment at said time neither me But i can try my level best to get an appointment for you.
