[Resolved]  Passport Office, Tiruchirapalli — delay in renewal of passport

Honourable Sir,
Herewith I submit a request to your respected correspondents for a help:

I retired as the Head of the Botany department of Jamal Mohamed College 16 years ago and am currently 75 years old.-

1)My wife,Mrs.KAMALA SUNDARRAJ (72years old) held a passport which had expired on 28th April 2004
2) My daughter,ANITA PAUL SUNDARRAJ who studied Medicine in Germany is presently working as a medical doctor in Hannover,Germany .
3)My wife KAMALA SUNDARRAJ has developed health complications among which is AGE RELATED MACULAR DEGENERATION in her eyes and is currently under treatment at the Joseph Eye hospital,Tiruchirapalli and our family physicians.
4)My daughter ms Anita Sundarraj has suggested to us that we should travel to Germany for getting some specialist advice from her colleagues in Germany.
5)Hence we made an application to the Passport Office,Tiruchirapalli for renewing her passport.
6)We paid the required fees on 2nd July,2010. and the file number is TRYE00941510.
7)Since there was no response we asked for an appointment with the Passport officer and duly went to the Office on 10th August 2010 ,and submitted a set of two PERSONAL PARTICULARS FORMS .
8)It appears that due to negligence no action had been till 10th August 2010 by the Passport Office
9) Only on 19th August 2010a police constable called Pannirselvam came to our house and asked us to come the next day to the Fort Police Station for verification
10) on 20th August 2010 we presented ourselves at the Fort police station and submitted
A copy of her photo and also affixed her thumb impression in their register.
10) I am sad and hurt that even after going through every process our request for renewal has not yet been done.
WE HAVE LIVED IN THIS SAME ADDRESS FOR OVER 65 YEARS;SHE IS AN AGED WOMAN OF 72 YEARS,AND IS IN NEED OF EXPERT MEDICAL ATTENTION AND MY DAUGHTER IN GERMANY HAS INVITED HER TO GERMANY
.
PLEASE HELP US BY IDENTIFYING THE CAUSE AND GIVE RELIEF TO US FROM THIS BUREAUCRATIC HARRASSMENT.
