[Resolved]  Patna Traffic Police — Illegitimate behavior of traffic cop at gandhi setu

Mahatma Gandhi Setu is a pride for Patnaites, which connects the state capital to rest of the Bihar. The growing population and transportation has added more responsibility on the shoulders of traffic police to maintain the smooth and congestion free traffic on the Gandhi setu.
People are cooperating to the police and obeying the traffic rules but few cops are taking advantage of their power.
I met with such a bad experience when I was as usual coming back from my college in Hajipur to Patna crossing the bridge at around 5.30 PM.
At one of the halts, one cop unprovokedly stopped the vehicle in which I was travelling and started speaking bad words to the driver, He even bashed him with lathi without questioning and behaved very inhumanly, making him (driver) do sit ups on the highway.
It was a very embarrassing situation for us because no one would bear such an insult in public.
He should have asked for fine, if we had broken the traffic rules but his inhuman behaviour has marred the image of the whole traffic controllers of Gandhi setu.
What if, a woman would have been driving a vehicle or any other rich person, and then definitely he would have behaved differently.
The question is that ‘Do rules differ based on your financial status??’ How logical is this to behave or to draw different kinds of punishments based on your disguise or status attire!!
Traffic police should give good ethical training to their employees, so to avoid any public outcry against them.
We appreciate their efforts of making Gandhi setu, free of traffic jams but people expect a good rapport with them rather than expecting such incidents that are totally uncalled for.
