[Resolved]  Pine Labs — EMI conversion not done

This complain is with reference EMI conversion not done.

Details:

I bought two laptops from “Karthik Business Machines, Jayanagar, Bangalore”.
First purchase - 15th Sep 2012. Amount Rs34763/-. Used Citibank credit card.
Second purchase - 26th Sep 2012. Amount Rs 34763/-. Used the same Citibank credit card.

For both the purchases I opted for merchant EMI conversion for 6 months. The receipts for both the purchases clearly tells that 6 months EMI was converted.

But when Citibank credit card bill generated on 11th Oct 2012, it says one purchase was converted and the other was not converted. When I spoke to Citibank, they informed that the purchase which was made on 15th Sep 2012 was converted and the purchase made on 26th Sep 2012 was not converted.

I complained to merchant “Karthik Business Machines” on 18th Oct 2012.

When I complained to the merchant he informed me that issue is resolved. He also informed that this conversion is taken care by a company called Pine Labs (Ph. No. [protected]). Also, he provided my case id in-case I want to clarify 45093.

When I called Pine Labs for clarification, they confirmed that it has been resolved.

When I asked Pine Labs to give me some reference of their conversation with bank, they gave me the number 165160. Upon calling the Citibank customer care, they informed me that no such request has come from Pine Labs. When I called Pine Labs again, they told me not to worry and wait for the Nov 2012 statement to be generated.

On 11th Nov 2012 credit card bill got generated and it says that nothing has been resolved. Moreover, since the amount was not paid, Citibank has charged me Rs. 477.11 as Service Tax and Rs. 3860.14 as Interest charge.

When I called Pine Labs on 12th Nov 2012, they told me that they will call me back within 2 hours. Nobody turned up.

When I again complained to the merchant on 19th Nov 2012, the merchant wrote a mail to Pine Labs requesting clarification. I waited for Pine Labs reply. But nobody turned up. When I called Pine Labs, they again told that it has been resolved and provided me an reference number (SF70988) of their communication with Citibank. When I checked with Citibank, they informed me that so such requests have been made. On reporting this to Pine Labs again they are telling the same story to wait for the bill to get generated.

Now if the issue is not resolved Citibank will be charging a higher rate of interest for the same. Moreover, whenever I have spoken to Pine Lab people they were damn rude and were not willing to speak properly with me.

Please help me to resolve this problem.
