[Resolved]  Police Dept — Irresponsibility to doing their job of haldia police dept

I Sumanta Maji, 3rd year student of Haldia Institute of Technology, Haldia, Purba Medinipur.
Sub- my laptop has been stolen.
Sir,
On 19th april 2010 at about 2 pm 8 to 9 boys came to our mess and threat us and very badly bit us. They became successful to got property of about 1.5 lakhs (3 laptops, 6 mobile phones & all other electronics gadgate). We went to complain police but they did not take any FIR. But under pressure of local political leader they take action but totally non officially. The next day they caught all the thief and rescued only one laptop & 2 mobile phone. But police did not take any action against them and let them go after few hours and manage this situation by giving some little amount of money.
Again on 2nd sept 2010 at 9 to 9:30 am, my other laptop has been stolen from my mess. I have given a FIR on that day, and till today (5th sept) I have not get such information that I make confident. I don’t know whether they are taking any action or not. Now this problem became a regular tendency to the huge amount of mess student. By a rough calculation we say 2 laptops are stolen per month. And local public are involve in it.
Before two week at mid night my friends laptop had been stolen. They go to police station to make stolen FIR but incharge police officer did not get it and pressurised him to wrote a missing FIR. But till now they don’t got any result. An another incident few years ago a thief was caught by the resident of nivedita ladies hostel and they handover him to the police. but police left him go that night.
Actually sir we want to inform u Haldia police department is not serious about our problem. So what we have to do, so that we become to able to solve our problem.
