Public Provident Fund — account transfer

I have PPF account in SBI-moti khavdi-jamnagar-gujarat-india, given application for transfer it to SBI-jilla panchayat branch-nadiad-gujarat-india about 6 months ago but still not transferred. Enquiry done at nadiad office they said account got closed. I want to know how account got closed. So far there is no any notice regarding this matter from any bank.

My son want to transfer the public provident fund from belgharia head post office,fedder road,belgharia,kolkata-700056 to local state bank of India,feeder road ,belgharia,kolkata-700056. But assistant postmaster of p.p.f. concern remarked that it is not possible. Why he said that? I Want urgent necessary action.
