[Resolved]  Pune Lonavala Local service — unauthorised passengers travelling in it

Dear sir,

This is to bring to your kind notice about the pathetic condition of the Pune Local service. I have already made many complaints at Shivaji Nagar , Pune Jn and Akurdi stations of Pune suburban line but everything appears to fall in deaf ears. Afterwards I have also made complaints at Tel No.[protected] through SMS for which I have received only a prompt reply with ID No.[protected] but nothing in action in seen so far even after more than 6 months. To repeatedly explain I would like give more details here.

1) I am a regular first class passenger in the local train between Akurdi to Shivaji Nagar during the last 7 years. Now a days , since the last 3 years the train is overcrowded in the first class compartment also and many unauthorised passengers holding second class tickets or even without tickets travel in first class compartments. There is practically no checking at all. For name sake , on some days three four ladies checkers come to compartment in morning and no effective action is taken. There is no checking in trains after 6 PM. In the 7 PM Pune Lonawala local there is no difference in first class and second class since there is no checkers at that time. No higher officials or squad is doping checking thereby losing higher revenue loss to the exchequer. Many times one can see unauthorised passengers sitting and genuine ticket holders standing.
2) There is no increase in the services. The present time table is since the time of in memory and train frequency is more than one hour and in the after noon more than 2 hurs. There is manifold increase in passengers. At least during peak time there should be a service in 30 minutes.
3) There is no punctuality in the train service. A ll trains are running more than 10 to 20 minutes late everytime. No higher officials from the Central Railway authorities or the Indian Railway authorities are checking. A higher official should enquire the punctuality of the train and take action against the offenders.
4) Many unaothorised railway employees (even the class IV and Kalasi ) people are travelling in first class compartment and many times sitting while passengers who genuinely pay huge amount stand in the crowd on the corridors. Some railway staff are also playing cards in the train (on money) which also goes unchecked.
5) During the monsson season nobody is bothered to check the railway statinos which has huge many leakages from the rook and completely wet with dirty water all over the station. A higher official should check the Shivaji Nagar station in monsoon. The position of other stations are unknown and is to be checked.
6) All these shows that practically there is no administration as such in the Central Railway especially in the Pune division which operates the local train. If the service imroves many passengers using the road and own vehicles will leave and depend on the railways which can save huge petrol cost and pollution. It appears that there is no such thinking power or mentality in the Central Railway which controls the Pune local service.

These are only some of the problems known to me and through thorough check up many other shortfalls can be found out.

I request the higher authorities to do the needful in the above matters first and check any other shortfalls or complaints in other matters.

If there is a thing called administration the railways should do improvement in the above matters or leave it just like any other government department.

Hi,

Please make pune - lonavala local min . 12 dibbas and increase the frequency of locals too.

TC must have to check first class compartment daily @ peak times. There are lot o[censored]nwanted public sits in first class compartment. Most of are railway karmchari only .

Pleae take action on priority
It just to inform that on 25 of june 2011 we went for trecking for kathingdh as we booked a banglow from M/s. Grand Hotel & Resort and the Banglow name is Ambure Banglow Plot no. 21, Ram Guide Society, Near Malavali Station, Lonavala . The service provided by this Grand Hotel Resort From whom we have booked the Banglow was very untidy and even their service was very poor and the banglow condition was not at all proper so please dont Book any banglow or any other rooms from Grand Hotel Resort we really had a bad experience
