Reader's Digest — They wont refund me an overpayment of $88.22.

I mistakenly over paid Reader's Digest by $88.22 on June 5, 2011. They have refused to repay me that money saying they sent the cheque and then they will credit my bank account then they sent the cheque again, NOT!

Now they tried to get my credit card information saying they will reimburse my credit card. I never paid by credit card I paid on-line from my bank. They keep telling me one lie after another, but I do not see any money.

phone — overpayment

I used to have a mobile phone with vodaphone. Unfortunately no longer know the tel number my address is 7 The Walk Manchester M28 2WX. I had a £25 tariff phone so that if calls went above £25 I had touse a top up card. My name is Janice Illingworth. I have been with Virgin Mob for nearly two years as worked for Virgin and got a preferantial tariff. The phone was for my son who is a Decorator so I opted to pay for Insurance for Loss or Damage. I have tried to stop the money coming out of my Bank Account for the last 18 months to no avail. I noticed that a quarterly charge was taken again this month. I have contacted my bank who say they cannot stop this money going out as it is not in fact set up as a Direct Debit. You are going in and manually taking the payment much the same way as I use my card to pay for goods in a shop. This HAS TO STOP. I want my money refunded to me. I even approached Manager of Carphone Warehouse Urmston, as phone deal set up there to assist me in this matter last April 08 to contact you and have my money reimbursed. It seems to no avail as you are still taking this fraudulant charge from my account, despite numerous phone calls.

Please reimburse me with this money and stop taking any more monies out of my account

Vodafone — Refund of overpayment

I was using a Vodafone post-paid connection from April 2006 to August 2009 (over 3 years) and paid huge bills almost every single month. I was promised a refund of the over-payment made on the account after cancellation of this post-paid connection. However, it has been over 10 months and company has failed to provide the refund till date.

Vodafone is the highest charging Telecom Service Provider across the globe. At the same time, it is the last company in the telecommunications industry to pass on the rate benefit to its customers.

In fact, many post-paid and pre-paid service users continue with their relationship to Vodafone even after paying exorbitant bills. This is simply because customers face a lot of incovenience if they decide to change their existing phone numbers.

Mobile number portability option introduced by the Govt. of India and TRAI post 31st December 2009 has been stagnated / stalled by Vodafone itself.

Vodafone is the second largest Telecom Service Provider in the world after China Mobile and its current policies suggests us to bring it down to the last position.

I recommend people in India must stop using all the services offered by Vodafone and use alternate service providers (preferably Indian service providers).
