Incorrect waiver of activation fee

I availed a VI (vodafone) post paid connection.
At that time I paid 250 Rs activation fee.
I was told that it will be waived off in first bill.

It was but they added GTS charges on it in the bill and then only deducted 250
This is a bad thing!...

Hello,

I am writing to raise a serious concern regarding a recent interaction with vodafone executive and to request immediate corrective action on my account.

On 27th June, I received a call from one of vodafone representatives offering an upgrade to a 5G SIM card along with an additional number. I was clearly and repeatedly assured that my billing amount would remain unchanged. Based on this confirmation, I agreed to the upgrade.

However, upon receiving the additional SIM, I was shocked to discover that my billing has been moved to a ₹701 plan — a complete contradiction of what was communicated to me. This is a clear case of misrepresentation and deceptive sales practice. I feel deeply misled and disappointed, especially considering my loyalty to vodafone company over the past several years.

To make matters worse, I am now being contacted by Vodafone customer care team, who are asking me to call and request the delinking and deactivation of the additional number myself. Let me make it absolutely clear: I did not request or initiate this linkage — it was activated based on false information provided by vodafone representative. Therefore, the responsibility to resolve this issue lies entirely with your team.

I will not be making any calls to request delinking. This dispute originated from vodafone’s end and must be resolved from vodafone’s end. I expect the number to be delinked, deactivated, and my billing plan reverted to the original amount without any further inconvenience to me.

Furthermore, I reiterate my request for immediate closure of my account associated with the new number. I will not accept any additional charges beyond my original plan, and I will not hesitate to escalate this matter further if necessary.

Please confirm the resolution of this issue and account closure at the earliest.

    Inactive user bill payment

    I have recently shifted my connection to Airtel from vodaphone.

    I have received messages for inactive user bill payment from Vodaphone. However their payment mechanism doesnt recognize my number as inactive or active.
    They have paused my net services and outgoing services in lieu of the same....

    For the last one week and above there no network in my place area Mumbai Andheri west Lallubhai park Road It has made my life miserable and left me high and dry the customer service is Pathetic I regret to have joined you vi india service as customer never did I think I would be in such a helpless condition and poor badly organised with no customer support or service.
    No network unable to receive or make call. I owe an explanation from your end as to the reason for such a disruption and the personal hardship you have put me in.
    Please rectify the issue restore the sevice which I am due at the earliest.

      assistance for number reactivation

      UPC code not generated and facing issues while generating

      When I am trying to generate UPC code from my Vodafone prepaid number, getting MSG. "UPC cannot be generated for the reasons: (1)There are subsisting contractual obligations with your service provider. Please contact your service provider for further assistance."

      I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the extremely slow internet speed I have been experiencing on my Vi connection. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue through Vi customer care, the problem persists with a speed of 0.004 Mbps, which is affecting my daily tasks and work.

      I have already contacted Vi customer care at their official numbers (198, 199) and the number [protected], but the issue has not been addressed effectively. I have also been connected to automated bots, and I have not received a satisfactory resolution.

      I request immediate action from your end to resolve this issue and restore my internet speed to the promised levels. If the issue is not resolved promptly, I will be forced to escalate this matter through legal means, including filing a complaint with the Consumer Court or taking further legal action.

      I look forward to your swift intervention in this matter.

        My mobile no. [protected]. I have not taken International roaming while visiting US. I only took SMS forwarding charges of Rs 149/- per month.
        I have been doing the same from last so many years.
        However, i find unnecessary charges have been laid on me during this trip. I raised this issue last month also but made the payment under protest.
        I have not taken any incoming call or made any outgoing call on the roaming network.
        I had visited the Vodaphone customer care on MG Road Gurgaon prior to taking the service and they had clarified about this SMS feature. However, I find conflict in the version when I was chatting with Vi on mobile App.
        I have been Vodaphone customer from last 27 years but find the response from customer care this time very poor.
        Please review the latest bill and resolve.

                  VI has a cheater in terms of deducting money from customers. I was overseas in UK from mid November to mid January and had activated roaming plan of INR 6999 (Unlimited Incoming calls, 120 minutes of outgoing calls) . Around first week of December i was deducted for incoming calls @ INR 70 Rs per minute and call was cut off after exhausting my balance. After that my clients called up and it was out of coverage. My outgoing calls were working fine as I spoke to my client... I then called up VI customer care and they apologized for deduction and refunded money in my account. I asked them reason for same and they reverted to me that I was logged into Jersey area network whereby VI is not covered in international roaming (fair enough it says in their policy) to which i responded that Jersey area is about 600 miles from where i was located in UK. How can I latch onto network which is 600 kms away... it is like I am sitting in Delhi and using Pakistani Network for incoming calls and outgoing calls i am using Indian Network...

                  Again issue arise in mid December when i was in London and balance deducted for incoming call from India. VI told me same reason that I was latched onto Jersey network. Again Jersey is 400 kms away from London for gods sake... They refunded money to my account...

                  Third time it happened in First week of January when I had received incoming call and deducted money... When i call got disconnected, I immediately made an outgoing call on same number and spoke to 30 minutes... I then shared all my proof with VI that how can they deduct money stating that I am Jersey. I showed them proof on MAP how far away I am from Jersey (600 kms), Showed them proof that I am being charged for my incoming and outgoing not charged anything for 30 minutes that I spoke to Indian Number... As Per VI I was logged onto Jersey network while making outgoing calls... That means it took me less than 1 minute to travel 600 kms back to where i was in York (I hope Elon Musk contacts me to ask me on how I travelled)... Frustrated I asked VI for their response via email so I can start taking legal actions with VI.. Below is their email.

                  Absolutely disgusted with VI and their services... After being a Loyal customer with VI for over a decade and my family for over 2 decades we are now shifting to Airtel or JIO...

                  It has raised me more doubts I have been on VI Roaming for over 8 times in last 6 years and then I was on postpaid so I dont know if they charged me for incoming calls as I wouldnt check bill and just pay VI trusting amount they charged me...
