I ordered in August 2012 a Foldable & Portable Laptop Stand (GB000930) through Rediffmail Online Shopping. Ref Order No. 7346977. It was delivered to me through Blue Dart Courier Service by Gadget Bucket Online Marketing LLP, Mumbai on the evening of 26 August 2012. On opening the packing, I found that one of the four legs of the product (made of plastic) was broken. On the morning of 27 August, I lodged an e-mail complaint with Rediffmail Shopping for which I got a system-generated reply saying that I would be contacted by one of their Customer Care Executives within 2 working days. As no one called me, I sent an e-mail reminder 2 days later on 29 August. Once again I received only a system-generated reply with the same content as before. So I tried to call their Toll Free telephone No.[protected] countless number of times over a period of 3 days. I could not get beyond the Interactive Voice Response System. I could not talk to any human operator. Then I sent an e-mail on 02 September 2012 directly to the Gadget Bucket Online Marketing who delivered the item to me through Blue Dart. I got a reply asking me to send the defective item back to them for replacement. When I approached the Blue Dart office in Thiruvananthapuram, they told me that the shipping charge would be Rs. 700/-. (The price of the item was only Rs. 735/- ). Blue Dart told me that if Rediff Shopping instructs them, they would ship it freely and even collect the item from my home, because Reff Shopping has an account with Blue Dart. I conveyed the information to Gadget Bucket who told me that the shipping account is only between Rediff Shopping and Blue Dart, and Rediff should be approached to instruct Blue Dart for free shipping. Then 05 September I sent another detailed e-mail to Rediffmail stating that Gadget Bucket is willing to replace the item and I requested Rediff Shopping to instruct Blue Dart about free shipping. As usual I received the same system-generated e-mail response. I have not received any response from them so far. In summary, Rediff Shopping has steadily refused to reply me over e-mail or telephone. I strongly feel that I have been cheated by them. I wish to get a replacement item with free shipping or refund of Rs. 735/- which I paid as cash-on-delivery. Sincerely, P.
