[Resolved]  Regional Passport Office Jammu — delay of passport

rpo jammu — delay in passport

I have applied for a passport at RPO jammu in around september 2007.
The status report says that the police verification has not been received. Whereas the police verification has been done eight-nine months ago. I am an artist (sculptor). Still so much delay. Is there any accountability?

I have applied my pass port in February 2006.My verification from Police station miran sahib, jammu & CID Verification have been cleared by the SSP CID HQ, jammu. has been sent to your officer vide challan no.51 on 15th of april 2009.And I have personally met with Asstt.possport officer in jammu office regarding my CID verification.He told me that your CID verification have been received by us and has cleared from CID Office.Your possport will be sent you with on one month.Till date I have not received my passport .

Kindly look into the matter personally and oblige .

This is Bhavna, I have recently been to passport office Jammu and got the passport under tatkal immediately by the kind cooperation of the passport office staff and especially Mr. Ashok Magotra (Current passport officer). They are very cooperative but we should not expect the results with the shortcomings on our part. Everyone should be well aware of the documents required and procedure followed. Even if you have some problems instead of writing here go and directly meet passport officer, he is very helping and easy to approach person.

I am really satisfied with the work of Passport office Jammu, Passport officer Mr. Ashok Magotra is really serving a great job.

Applied for passport on 21/05/2010. Police verification completed both from territorial and CID long back. Still awaiting for the passport. Whenever enquiry is made through internet, there is always written 'Policeenquiry awaited". How long we have to wait for my passport???? My file number IS A005644 and my wife's file nmber : A005643.

My name is Deachen yangdol, File no. Z720744.. applied for passport in September 2011..Online status is showing (Police report has not been recieved)
Its been more than 3 months i have applied.. My cousins have received their passport within 2 or 3 months, then why there is a delay in my passport?Please let me know the further details if required..
