Reliance (Smart) GSM Service — Cheating in Tariff

Respected Sir

I have a Mobile No. [protected], of Reliance (Smart) GSM Service, from Last 1 ½ Years Approx, and I want to submit a complaint regarding cheating by my service provider,
this is not a case of individual person,
also in the case of all customers of "SMART GSM Services"
but the cheating have been made with numbers of Customers in Small Groups, the details of cheating are as under.

1. I was opted for ”So Called Life Time Scheme” from our service provider with a fee of Rs. 750/- (talk time 75/-), and got the following facility.
a) My Validity period will be extended for 6 Month after use of any recharge voucher, or TOP-UP
b) The call rate Tariff will be applicable as per the Recent Recharge Voucher Used

2. I have next used a RCV of 880/- and got the Call Rate Tariff as, Within Circle, Reliance (Smart) to Reliance (Smart) – 19 Paisa/Minut, To Other Mobile – 59 Paisa/Minut, STD or Land Line – 99 Paisa/ Minut, SMS – 25 Paisa/ Minut

3. After Recharging with the Para 1st above, and 2nd Above I have used only TOP-UP Vouchers, which give me only Increment in talk time Balance amount, but with the Same Call Rate Tariff, as per Para 1(b), However after Use of Any Recharge vouchers, (Except TOP-UP) the Rate will be change, and will be applicable as per the last RCV Recharged with.

4. From 14-Nov-2007 the company started charging a different Call Rate, as, Local – Rs. 1.99/Minut, and STD – 2.99/Minute immediately after reacharging with a "Rs.500/- Top up vochure" Even though my validity up to[protected].


5. After consulting with the Customer Care, they are not replying in any satisfactory manner, they only reply that the scheme is ended now and your call rate have been changed (in the meanwhile I have also not used any Recharge Voucher), However the fact is, that the dead line of scheme validity period was not fixed by the Service provider at the time of Starting of Scheme and in absence of this they assured this as ”LIFE TIME SCHEME”

6. Sir, the service provider previously in March-April (Approx) tried to close the above scheme for all customer, but due to protest of customer, they cancel the closing, and now they are closing the scheme with the randomly selected customer, in part by part to avoid the group protest.

So, herewith I am requesting you to kindly give you kind attention in this regard and take necessary law-full action against the company, I will be remain thankful for the same and oblige.

feeling helpless......Smart is Pure Cheating to consumer...have also been cheated with 19P 59P 99P scheme...Worst Service Provider can only say this... CHEAT

I am a Reliance smart GSM subscriber having mobile no.[protected] at Ranchi.My incoming calls & SMS sending services are withheld from last 2 weeks & i have logged complaint of this several times at reliance smart GSM customer services (at hinoo, Ranchi) but my problem is not solved yet though I have got sufficient balance in my mobile.All the incomming calls are not reaching to me creating several problems.Kindly help me soon!

I have a mobile no. [protected], which was activated Background music 56100 service on 12th March 2008. After that I want to this facility deactivate on my mobile, so 2nd April teletalk to Mr. Sandesh and request to deactivate this facility. He was give me a complaint ID No.[protected] and said that deactivate the service, but problem is yet to be continue and deduct Rs. 20/- on 12th April. Then I have again registered a complaint on 13th April and talk to Mr. Vinod said your problem solvedin 24hour. Mr. Vinod again give a new complaint ID no. [protected] but problem is still.

I have hardly requested to you please deactivate background music facility from my phone and refund my deducted amount.

I'm a Reliance GSM (Smart) prepaid customer (No. [protected]) in the Jharkhand-Bihar Circle. I reside in Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand. During the past few months, I'm facing tremendous difficulties in communicating through my Smart connection. First of all, whenever I call any number, local or STD, the only response I get is "Network Busy". I have to try at least 15 to 20 times before the call gets through. Then, even if the line gets connected, most of the times i cannot hear a single word from the other side. Even if I can hear something, the words seem to be very unclear and I can only hear some part of the conversation. Then suddenly in the midst of the conversation, the line goes dead, that too, at most of the times, 3 or 5 seconds after the last minute. One more thing I would like to add. My cell cannot find any network inside my office cabin. Every time I need to talk, I have to go out in the scorching sun. You may say that my mobile handset is defective, but, for your information, I have tried with a number of handsets of Sony, Samsung & Nokia make. The result is the same. And also, my BSNL sim works fine with all the above sets and at every corner in my office. I have asked a lot of my acquaintances with a Smart connection and they have agreed that they are also facing the same problems. The irony is that to make a call of 15 mins duration, sometimes I have to call the same person 5 to 6 times. I have tried my level best to contact your Customer Support Services, but to no avail. I have tried for half an hour at a stretch also, but everytime I get a "User Busy" response. The biggest irony is that after making any call, Reliance doesn't take any time to send the Call duration & Call cost message. It comes in a flash, within a few seconds. I hope that you understan my problem and would take necessary steps to solve it at the earliest. But if the service doesn't improve, I would be compelled to lodge a complaint with the Consumer Forum.
My mobile No. [protected] is not working since last 2 days. Last I have recharge before 6 months and validity upto 10.05.2008 but my sim is not working before 5 or 6 days earlier. I want to know that what is the problem ?

I completely agree. reliance is the worst service. they are completely fraud. most of the time i am not able to call from my network. when i approached their customer care services, they told me that soon such problems would be solved, but even after months of complaints and e-mails, the result is zero. i am completely fed up of the service

I have a Reliance Smart GSM Service mobile no.[protected] under your Lifetime scheme for last 3 years for the reduce terrif of STD 0.99 paise, Smart to Smart 0.15 paise, Smart to other 0.59 paise but the facility is withdrawn from my mobile number. Yesterday i.e. on 25.06.08 I have checked current STD teriff from Reliace Customer care but they told that your STD rate is Rs.2.99 paise per minutes because your scheme is under old Lifetime scheme and the company started charging a different Call Rate, as, Local – Rs. 1.99/Minut, and STD – 2.99/Minut. I do not understand that all mobile company reduce their STD teriff except Relince Smart.After consulting with the Customer Care, they are not replying in any satisfactory manner, they only reply that the scheme is ended now and your call rate have been changed.

Sir for your kind information, all mobile companies are reduce their call rates maximum STD call rate is Rs.1.50/- then why your company not change your teriff and chetting the customers.

I am requesting you to kindly give you kind attention in this regard and take necessary law-full action against the company, I will be remain thankful for the same and oblige.

my name is amit kumar tiwari i am a smart gsm customer. last month i took a sim whose number is [protected] . when the number was activated only outgoing calls were going, i checked with customer care they said this is because ur documenats are not submitted. the number will b disconnected if documents are not submitted within 48 hours. the same thing happened the number got disconnected . then i submitted the documents . after three days the numbar agin started working . for using the number for around a week, i took rs. 496 value voucher. but now the number again stopped working even calls are not getting connected to customer care. its been three days, if it continues like this for another week what will happen to my voucher, the time span will b over by that time.
the worst thing is that even the cutomer care executives and the dealers are giving satisfactory answer.
kindly suggest me what to do.

Smart GSM service — cheating on tariff

My cell no. is [protected] .On recharging my phone on 1/8/08 Rs. 60/- was deducted immediately. On inquiry I was told by one o[censored]r executive that it has been deducted for some song sevice & another executive told me that it is for Asrology service, though I had not opted for any of these services. Please deactivate these services immediately & inform me, otherwise I will have to discontineue ur service .
I am the customer of reliance smart gsm.My problem is that the service center is sending me unwanted messages. Please stop sending messages.
