[Resolved]  Resident — Subject: Drainage problem at DDA Flats, Gulabi Bagh, Delhi.

Respected Sir

Your kind attention is invited on our grievances regarding very poor cleaning and sanitation conditions being faced by the residents, particularly of 115 & 116 blocks of the DDA. SFS. Flats, Gulabi Bagh, Delhi.

Sir, DDA, SFS Flats at Gulabi Bagh, Delhi are situated at a very low ground from the main road. Internal passages are provided at a very low level in comparison to the main approach roads of the complex with the result, rainwater gets accumulated in the internal passages of the flats. In the absence of any internal cross drainage work, the passages have become slippery with slush and the stagnated water is causing bad smell, breeding of mosquitoes and spurt of water born diseases.

Picture attached with this letter is self-explanatory and shows the pathetic condition of the passage of 115 & 116 blocks.

We, therefore, request your good offices to kindly look into the matter and issue necessary instructions to all concerned to ensure proper drainage and resurfacing and cleaning of the internal passages in block 115 & 116

DDA — Blocked Drains

Our office is located in 67-68 chandra bhawan nehru place. The local waste drain has been chocked due to no cleaning from dda, resulting in overflowing of drain water which has collected near building no. 70, this drain water not only is a source of foul smell but now housing mosquitoes and other insects. Repeated reminder to dda and MCD has failed. Both have passed the buck saying it is others responsibility.

Local dda office staff has been giving false assurance of getting the problem rectified.

My question to delhi govt. Is that the area which is asia's biggest I T market and must be contributing to highest revenue to govt. Has been left unattended like this for people to suffer.

This water logging and drain over-flowing problem has been reported to dda for over 40 days now.

Is there a way to make the dda work in public interest so that atleast a hygienically secure environment is created?
