[Resolved]  Retired — Discontinuation of SCSS Scheme

Sir,

I retired as Directr from Min of Defence in OCTOBER,2004.
I deposited TWELVE LAKH in SCSS at your brach in sector 4 RK PURAM, NEW DELHI.
Five YEAR period was completed on 19.11.2009.
I personally submitted the application about a month back (15.10.2009) along with the pass book and handed over personally to MR SATYA PRAKASH, the dealing officer.
I gave explicit directions that I wish to close the account and the proceeds should be deposited in my savings bank account with same branch(acc no [protected]).
My wife went to SBI, RK PURAM and was informed that the SCSS deposit has been renewed for another three years.
I have to pay a house instalment in December. What do I do?
