[Resolved]  Retired — Complaint reg delay in cancellation of My PAN Card surrender to you in March 2005

Dear Sir,

I surrendered my PAN Card No : ALMPK1938N issued by You for cancellation back to your office on 16 March 2005.

Scanned copies of the PAN Card and both sides of the Acknowledgement Card recd from your office confirming receipt of the above quoted PAN Card in your office for cancellation are attached for information.

I regret to inform you that despite numerous reminders / EMails made by me to your office over the last 4 years, it is observed that no action seems to have been taken as yet by your office to cancel this PAN Card !!! This PAN Card Number is still shown against my Name as per the database records of the Income Tax authorities. PLEASE INFORM ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE WHAT ACTION YOU CONTEMPLATE TAKING TO GET MY PAN CARD No : ALMPK1938N THAT I SURRENDERRED TO YOU WAY BACK IN MARCH 2005, CANCELLED NOW.

In view of the above, kindly take immediate action under intimation to me to cancel this PAN Card No : ALMPK1938N that was surrenderred by me to you in March 2005 for cancellation.

I have since retired from the Indian Navy and my Pmt Address is now in Aymanam, Kottayam - 686 015. However, I am presently in Hyderabad on holiday.
