Dear Sir, I am writing this as aresponsible citizen about the wastage of potable water by many socities built by cidco having over head tanks.I am staying in sector 14 in Airoli.Cido had constructed flats having area above 70 sq mtrs and have provided over head tank for water storage. The capacity of the sump tanks are less than that of over head tanks. They do not have automatic level controll systemsto prevevnt overflow of water. I found most of the times while lifting the water to the over head tanks due to lack of controll the tanks get over filled and water is being wasted.This causing national wastage od power which already we are running short and water which is going to be dear in the days to come. To prevent this my suggestion is that nmmce should write to all socities which are wasting water to take necesary steps to prevent the same by strict monitoring. By doing this you will doig an yomen service to the socities.You should conduct surveys and fine the socities which are ont complying the rule. Thanking you, Sincerly yours mani. The amount of water that is being wasted in washing cars is fabulous, inspite of the appeals made by the authorities from time to time. Even in a country like USA washing of cars is controlled but in Navi Mumbai it is at each individual's pleasure. It is high time that strict action is taken by surprise checks and penalties are enforced after proper rules are established .
