retired senior CITIzen — error in issuing metro tickets

I had purchased ticket for travelling from Indiranagar to Bangalore city railway station, by paying Rs 30. Token was collected & no change was given and I travelled up to City railway station. On dropping the token at exit gate, it was rejected, your customer care executive took out the token and checked with token reader and told me that ticket was issued only up to previous station, and asked me to pay Rs 3 and collect a new token for exiting from exit gate. I protested, and explained him the total process of ticket issue happend in Indiranagar. He gave me the complaint register book and duly filled in all details. I was given the counterfoil for the same. This wrong issue of metro ticket not only caused humiliation, waste of time at exit, resulted in missing of next available train to MYSORE. Please introduce a better feedback system while issuing the metro tickets so that his sort of laps could get noticed at ticket issuing counter itself rather than at destination.
