[Resolved]  Royal Sundaram Health Insurance — Cheating while claim for Hospitalization bill

Hi

I have did one health insurance for hospitalization cash benefit plan for my 6 months kid.

After 3 months of the policy my son admitted in Lotus Hospital for high fever and when hospital applied for cas benefit to Royal Insurance they asked so many query to the hospital management and insurance company wants my sons head TC Scan fax.

When i asked the incharge doctor they told who the hell wants CT scan copy when it is not needed and even the hospital management told they never faced this kind of query and faced problems from other insurance companies.

And for one day around 7000 i paid for hospitalization. But i have not received any amount from Royal Sundaram.

So i advised to all if you are doing any policy directly individually not from your companies then be careful at the time of hospitalization. They will ask a lots of query to stop the payment to you as well as the hospital management. So choose the best insurance company.

I admitted my son 14 YEARS OLD to MS RAMIAH Hopital for myoclonic epileptic attack, i have OREINTAL INSURANCE with MD india as the TPA first i was denied cashless as the boy had 1 attck during child hood about 10 years back which was not disclosed at the time of making policy as it was not required. i have an un interrupted payment schdule for the premiums every year which they promptly collect when it comes to disbursement they take life out of you with all the bloody queries in the world which these thugs should maintain. i will neve approach MD INDIA AGAIN CAN ANY BODY THROW SOME LIGHT ON THIS TYPE OF LACUNAE

I have launched a complain on behalf of Royal Sundaram Health Insurance regarding Cheating while claim for Hospitalization bill which is Posted:[protected] by myselft and the subject was: Policy certificate No. HL[protected] claim No.HD00004806.

I really thanksto the admin of https://www.consumercomplaints.in that after posting this complain after 10 days i received a call from Mrs.Irudaya Mary, Claims Department, EXTN: 736 and Email :irudaya.[protected]@royalsundaram.in.

Now i would like to withdraw this complaints and wants to give thanks to the team of https://www.consumercomplaints.in.

She given an Health Clain PDF file with some guidenc and told to fill it up and send it her as soon as possible.

After submission of those documents to her within 10 days i received a cheque of full settelement of cash of my hospitalization.

Millions of Thanks to the team of Consumer Complaints who make possible of my hospital claim cash less benefit.

At last i got my money from Royal Sundaram but it will be great if i might have got this benefit at the time hospitalization.

Because of this behavior suddenly after cure of my kid i have done another policy from ICICI Lombard by thinking they will not do this kind of harashment.

Royal Sundaram Health Insurance - Cheated when I Claimed My Cash Benefit Plan

I am holding Royal Sundaram Hospital Cash Insurance Plan (Policy number CSP[protected] for my family of four /including self/wife and two daughters. The plan was taken in the year 2009 and is operational till date. My wife was admitted to Yashoda Hospital, Hyderabad on 2nd December 2013 & discharged on 10th December 2013 (for treatment of sudden Demyelination)
I applied for claim which was registered on 18th December 2013 (Mind you, during the entire term from[protected]/14 I never claimed for a reimbursement for any illness).
I was informed it will take 15-20 working days for the claim to process.
Today 25th Jan 2014 I received a letter addressed by Mr.Saket Drona (Head Retail operations and Customer services Royal Sundaram) informing me that the claim cannot be processed due to some reasons.
I am regularly paying the annual policy amount of Rs 11500 and odd * for five years so I don't understand the reasons for the rejection of my claim.
Another point that I would like to raise is that the field officer who is deputed is not from a medical (MB BS) background, he does not know how to write.
I feel cheated by this fraud company (ROYAL SUNDARAM).
I advice all of the new customers to not enrol for any product of the above company.

This is reference of our family good health policy no.GL[protected]Ramesh kumar) and GL[protected]Suman Rani).

Regarding this on 19th.feb.2014 one call recd.for renewal from Rajesh having mob.no.[protected] told me that if you are not depositing renewal amount Rs.12, 254/-then your policy will be expired.He told me that i am sending one person his mob.no.[protected] to collect payment from you. person came at my home and i paid Rs.12, 254/-by cash.

last day i recd.one call from royal sunderam for deposing renewal amount immediately. now i want to confirm that i have already deposited.

now i am calling on above cited mob. nos.and getting no response or switch off.

you are requested to pls.look this matter seriously and find that person who has recd.payment immediately.other wise i will take legal action.

I have had a horrible experience with Royal Sundaram. Their sales team are very aggressive to sell their products, but once they have your premium, they don't care about the service. I paid my premium, and then never got a policy or a refund. I had to chase them for several months for a refund. the customer service team never call you back or respond to emails. You will get 50 calls a day until they get your money, and then when you want their service, they ignore you and treat you like a beggar!!

I had a ghastly experience with them and will never buy insurance from them ever ever...

Even their customer grievance team does not respond to emails. There is no escalation matrix available to the customer, or than to go to Chennai and sit like a beggar in front of them!!

Do not recommend this insurance company to anyone.

A bit surprised is what I am right now after reading your message. I too have Royal Sundaram's hospital cash insurance https://www.royalsundaram.in/health-insurance/cashless-hospitals.aspx but I had a completely different experience compared to you.

My daughter was hospitalised for high fever and it was an emergency hospitalization. I contacted Royal Sundaram late at night. It's good they are available 24x7.

When I intimated the insurance guys, all they asked me was the name of the insured, nature of diagnosis, hospital details, treating doctor details, date of hospitalization, and the expected discharge date.

Even I was asked many questions but the people at Royal Sundaram assured me that it was to ensure my claim was ready and approved at the earliest. Upon verification of my documents, the TPA sent a cashless authorization letter to the hospital within 3 hours.

All I had to was pay the medical bills and expenses not covered under the policy. I had a smooth experience with Royal Sundaram. They helped me when I need them the most.

I have recently purchased a Car insurance from Royal Sundaram, I have directly purchased from their website. Soon after giving the details I got a call from them and guided me to the entire process. I have given all the details and cross checked whether all information is correct or not. Everything were correct at that time.

Soon after I received the policy I cross checked everything, and surprisingly found my nominee name had a spelling error. Instead of D they have put T. I do not understand how that error came up since I have cross checked everything before submitting. I suspect some human intervention in this process. A spelling mistake may be a simple human error, but when you approach them for claim, they can simply reject it saying the name is not matching.

I have then sent mails, called them, taken this to Social media but still there is no reply from them. I have not tried for any claim, if there is any issue, I have all the mails, communication recorded. I will check all possibilities to teach them a lesson. IRDA, consumer court there are option.

Still waiting for, My advice to all is not to opt this stupid company.

When i went for claim for glass and bumper which happened due to accident. Surveyor deny to give claim said he will give for glass only and i justify for the same but they are making different stories every time. This is my worst experience with royal sundharam and cheating with customer. Pls don't go with royal sundaram.

My brother have Royal Sundaram Health Insurance, When he was admitted due to high fever then i have informed their TPA and Royal Sundarm Insurance department on 17/04/18 and i paid 12000 amount. But after two months Royal Sundaram send one meassge that your claim is not passed. So i advised to all Royal Sundaram Health Insurance is a fraud company .Do not recommend this insurance company to anyone.
