[Resolved] Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd. — Early redemption of bonds | |||
Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam LTd., a company wholly owned by Govt of Gujarat has issued deep discount bonds 16 years back for a total period of 20 years with a deemed face value of Rs. 1,11,000/- and it did not had an option to redeem it prematurely as per the prospectus. But now the company is redeeming the bonds 5 years in advance without having any legal provisions for the same., I would like to know the status of the case filed against this by various organisations at High court of Gujarat as well as at Supreme court. the company should keep the promise to redeem bonds as per the terms and option of time should be in favour of buyer.

In my opinion it is better wait till completion of 20 years.

i do agree with others to hold the bond till 20 yrs expires if any one knws more about the result of the case filed in supreme court/ high court pl convey it to me

what is latest on Sardar sarovar supreme court ruling ??
Dear sir, please update the latest status on the court judgement with respect to redemption of SSNNL bonds.Also please clarify whether the bond tranffered to some other person as per the procedure given on the backside of the bond, but not yet sent to the registrar for change of name, can now be sent to the registrar for transfer and redemption on the name to whom it is transffered.

SIR,I HAVE 5 NOS DEEP DISCOUNT BONDS OF SSNNL ISSUED IN 1995 (REGD FOLIO NO. SD657294) WHICH WERE SUPPOSED TO BE REDEEMED IN 2014. I WANT TO KNOW THE PROCEDURE TO GET THE REDEMPTION AMOUNT AT THE EARLIES. I AM ALREADY LOSING INTEREST AS I CAME TO KNOW THAT THESE ARE REDEEMED IN JAN 2009. BUT WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY OFFICIAL COMMUNICATION. I ASKED THE INFORMATION FROM SSNNL ALSO BUT HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY COMMUNICATION BACK. KINDLY HELP.
