[Resolved]  Saving Account — Cash Deposait

Dear Sir

I am a saving account holder in HDFC Bank , A/c No-[protected] at 126 , GS Road, Guwahati- 781 005. this account is a joint account with my wife.

Today I had a urgent requirement to send money to my family at Guwahati and I visited your branch at Kolkata , 88 Chowrangi, Kol-20 where Ms. Sumanti sen in the counter refused to accept cash and told that cash transaction is restricted from my home branch, Immidiately I called the branch and discussed the same with Mr. Gautam, who told that there is no restriction as such, then I revisited the branch at Kolkata and discussed the issue with Mr. Pradeep Nathvani , who adviced me to do chq deposit and refused to accept cash in my account.

I have been explained that I have to discuss with my home branch.

One thing i felt strongly in todays discussion with your officals i Kolkakata that I am not acustomer of HDFC bank but rather i have been treated as customer of HDFC bank Guwahati.

If the attitude is as such I will be glad if you can advice me the procedure to close my account.
