[Resolved]  Savings Bank Account — for wrong deduction of bank charges and non support to credit the same from the branch.

Respected SIR/MADAM.

I Sunita d Mehta, having bank a/c no [protected]-001 wanted to close my Savings bank account, because of non satisfactory service of the branch, the branch has deducted bank charges of Rs 275.75 on 08/02/2012 and Rs 275.75 on 06/03/2012 due to lack in minimum balance criteria “WITHOUT ANY INTIMATION”, which has been wrongly done as I am having an fixed deposit of (round off) Rs.36456.52 (fd no surr[protected] value dated 31/03/2012. In order to credit the wrongly deducted bank charges I have made an application to the branch, and bank staff replied it is because of system error and also because the fixed deposit is not getting traced in the account, on the contrary in every bank statement I receive it is depicting details regarding fixed deposit. The ,staff replies, they would get it credited again, but the same was not been undertaken even after 3 months of the application and on the contrary they are asking me after 3 months “to whom have u submitted the application and all…”and on the contrary they have again deducted bank charges of Rs 280.90 on 09/06/2012 for the same querry “WITHOUT ANY INTIMATION”. On 16/06/2012 when I approached branch for the error they replied it wont be possible OR ELSE ” U CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT “ , and when I have asked to meet the manager they replied he is not available u please come on Monday 18/06/2012, and when I have approached on 18/06/2012, even on 18/06/2012 the branch manager was not available , by getting harassed with the bank staff I have also mailed the same to bank customer redressal mail service and till now I have not got any help even from there.On 19/06/2012 today when I approached branch for the same, they are replying manager is busy, and not in a position to meet u, he have lots of other work to be done so he cannot meet u and manager have said the first mentioned charge of Rs.275.75 deducted on 08/02/2012 would be refunded to u ”AS WE HAVE NOT INTIMATED U” and other charges wont get refunded as it is a bank policy, and when I have asked to give the same in writing they have replied “ WE CAN’T GIVE U THE SAME IN WRITING” . I AM FULLY HARRASED with the reply of bank staff. Kindly do the needful to get my hard earned money as early as possible. Sorry for inconvinence.

Banking — Wrong Deduction of Charges

Respected Sir,


Myself Harit N Mehta holding an Account in State Bank of India,Narannagar Branch,Ahmedabad.

A/c No. [protected].

While Filling the New Account Opening Form I have Applied for "No Cheque Book" Account.

But Due to the Mistake of The SBI Staff They Issued me a Account with Cheque Book.

As There wasnt Any Need of Cheque Book To me,I Requested them to Discontinue the Cheque and for that No charge was Suppose to be Levied.

But they Deducted an Amount of Rs.50.
