Dear Mr. Rajeev Agarwal, reference to your letter (Ref.:QL_150_091208_5009) (Dated: 9-Dec-08) regarding the demand notice- SBI Card Account No[protected]. & reference to your Notice No- Sbi/Conc-Cal/2-Jan-09/RA-AG/286.
For your information your client SBI Bank never issued me any credit card in the above mentioned number, but obviously issued me numerous bills stating an outstanding against the credit card which I never received as per best of my knowledge.
The day when I received the bill I was so surprised that I called up the customer care stating the incidence. On calling the said customer department they immediately responded and replied me that they will be sending me the card in my residential address, which I never received till date.
Later on one fine morning I received a demand draft dated-Feb 03 2007, draft no-204150, Amount- 20, 000 as per my record, which I never asked for.
I again called up the concerned department and stated the incidence. On reporting this they replied me that they will send somebody and take back the draft and they collected the same from my residence.
But from then onwards your client is asking me that there is an outstanding against the card and I have to pay the amount. This I have informed at least 100 times to the concerned department whenever they called me up.
Now I hope that your client must be maintaining the data of my credit card where I have used it against any transaction or I must have submitted the draft to cash it by any banking transaction.
I asked the department many times to provide me the data before asking money from my side, but they never produced.
As I never got the credit card and never banked the demand draft & never got the opportunity to use the card then what is the meaning in calling me frequently for money and also to sending me notice.
As per my understanding goes it is nothing but harassment and mental torture by your client.
Would request you to ask your client to go through the matter once again & verify their record and then to proceed for this type of recovery.
If it is so that I have enjoyed the credit facility from your client – SBI then as a responsible citizen I will keep my commitments, but I haven’t enjoyed the same then I should not be harassed like this. This incidence is keeping me in extremely bad mental condition and thus creating a physical trouble too.
So in near future I expect this will be taken care of and if any record shows my fault in keeping my commitments I am always available in short notice.

Thanking you,
Debiprasad Adhikari.
